My thought on Gov Palin’s situation is that maybe, just maybe, God put her in this position to help other people realize just how abhorrent abortion is and that all life is indeed precious to Him

All life is precious to God? Read the Old Testament.

I have read both the Old and New Testaments. Yes, there were places in the Old Testament where God allowed a lot of death. However, IMHO, that did not mean He didn't value life. People sinned against God without remorse and He did destroy them or allow them to be destroyed. But the New Testament also tells us that God values all life and wants everyone to come to Him.
