'HILL' HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED
NY Post ^ | August 30, 2008 | CHARLES HURT

DENVER - Hillary's got to be seething.

Picking political unknown Sarah Palin for the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket is opening old wounds for Barack Obama and the Democrats, a top adviser for Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday.

"There is much we don't know about Governor Palin," former Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said.

"But at least in the short term, it will shake up the race, and leave some asking why Senator Obama didn't pick Senator Clinton to be his veep."

Clinton's reaction was congratulatory - if perfunctory.

"We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," she said in a statement. "While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Governor Palin will add an important new voice to the debate."

Former vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to garner the nomination - as a Democrat - came out in support of Palin.

The Ferraro endorsement has got to hurt the Dems, if only in their pride. Its certainly understandable given what the Obama campaign put her through, though.

Basically, Senator Clinton made exactly the amount of negative commentary about Palin that the rules of the game require - and not one bit more.

What she said barely qualifies as criticism by Democrat standards. It's pretty funny to watch.

She’ll toe the party line in public, but behind the scenes you can bet Hillary’s cackling her fat little tushie off!

That’s because its difficult to talk while her jaw was clenched.

I was in the hair salon this morning telling everyone how much I love Governor Palin. They were repeating the media drumbeat of how she has no experience and isn’t ready to step in for the older McCain. I brought up the fact that Hillary is only where she is because he is Bill Clinton’s wife and that Obama doesn’t have as much experience as Governor Palin does. By the time I was finished getting my hair done everyone was on board with Governor Palin for VP (and very intrigued with her story). It didn’t hurt that everyone already thought Obama was creepy. His vote against the BAIPA is going to hurt him a lot with women voters.

Keep up the good work, Kansas.

Here's another talking point (from my wife):

The fact that she has five kids means her husband's been sleeping with *her*.

Unlike some Dems we could mention.

Cheers!

I have got to hand it to McCain, it was an awesome move. The whole Change theme just blew up in nObama’s face. McCain just turned the 2012 election into Palin vs Hillary delivering the “Change” the Left can only talk about. McCain has practically guaranteed a woman in the Oval Office while the DNC is still trying to figure out how to spell misogyny.

Never heard of Obama until he appeared on Opra and I only caught the show by accident. By the end of the show, I had made a decision...he was an orator and a blow hard....he said nothing meaningful.

Then I forgot about him. All of a sudden, he's battling Hillary.

If Obama had someone more like Condi for a wife, AND WASN'T A SOCIALIST, I would take another look.

P.S. Anyone who doesn't buy their kids Birthday Presents because they have too much...has some kind of wierd problem.

Last night, Palin said it all: I'm a woman, I'm a wife, I'm a mother, I'm a Patriot and my business is "We The People".

She and Bubba likely got paid $14,000,000 for her last speech.

I don't believe she'll toe the party line in public.

Why can't they just go away.....pleeeeeez.

...and leave some asking why Senator Obama didn't pick Senator Clinton to be his veep.

That was the one move I feared Obama making. Adding Clinton to the ticket would have made it very hard to beat and would make McCain adding a female VP to his ticket a "me too" move. Thankfully, for whatever reason, or no reason at all, Obama went with the The Hair Club for Men choice for VP.

Oh, they’re going. With Palin as VP, she has no more chance to be Prez. or veep, another plus of the McCain-Palin win.

” She and Bubba likely got paid $14,000,000 for her last speech.”

Same thought my wife and I had while watching both of them.

After all with them it’s 2 things.

POWER

MONEY

When you see the candidates on the VP debate, remember that one of them is cosmetically enhanced....
