Pollster Predicted Palin VP Pick last year
newxmax ^

Posted on 08/30/2008 3:08:23 PM PDT by maccaca

David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision, LLC accurately predicted the presidential nomination of Arizona Senator John McCain in 2007 on POTUS Radio when all political experts had written McCain’s obituary.

Johnson also predicted that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would be McCain’s running mate in March 2007.

Johnson reiterated that Palin would be the candidate following Barack Obama’s selection of Joseph Biden as his running mate. Johnson based his predictions upon polling done by Strategic Vision, LLC in key battleground states and his own political expertise of over twenty years.

“Based upon our polling in key battleground states in 2007 and early 2008, all indicators pointed to John McCain as the only plausible Republican presidential nominee,” said David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision, LLC. “Our polling showed that McCain was the second choice of the other candidate’s supporters particularly in Florida which really made McCain’s nomination possible.

Our polling in 2008 have shown that Barack Obama underperforms among female voters particularly in the states of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin that provides an opening for Senator McCain,” continued Johnson.

“Additionally, John McCain has a unique opportunity to present the future of the Republican Party in his vice presidential selection. All of this indicated a strong dedicated conservative that would be outside of the box and Sarah Palin headed that list along with her appeal to social and fiscal conservatives and her moving life story.

Strategic Vision polling in the key battleground states of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, and non-traditional battleground states such as New Jersey indicate that 25% to 35% of Hillary Clinton supporters will not vote for Barack Obama and might consider voting for John McCain based upon his running mate.

Apparently Rasmussen did too. He was on O’Reilly and O said, “You made this call a long time ago.”

I don’t think I knew who Palin was until a couple of months ago when I started to hear her name being bandied about. I did a little research and discussed her with a lot of my friends—they told me I was nuts—it would be Romney and they were all for him. The last couple of days, these same friends are really excited about the Palin pick. Yep, she really is energizing those who wished for a conservative in this race somewhere.

Got an email from a friend saying I found the email from 6 months ago, where I called it. He said Rove may be the Architect, by you my friend are the Oracle!

It was a hope more than anything, I am still emotional and can't get over the fact Sen. McCain through the long ball.

MY gut feel says Cindy was had a hand in this.

Johnson is a magic man. lol
Seriously? Who does he say will win the presidency?

Also, I heard Rasmussen on BOR, and supposedly he said she’d get the nod too, due to polling.

But I can’t figure, for the life of me, why Obama picked Biden.

If that number is accurate, bambi is done.

It is...and he is...

Ask yourself, why did Barack drop all that advertising in those battleground states, including Florida, BEFORE the convention.

Also...where is Barack campaigning today...why is he in Pennsylvania? And whose crowds are more enthused NOW?

Toast. When Obambi starts traveling in all those battleground states that Gore/Kerry won LAST time (MI, WI, MN, PA) you KNOW he’s in trouble.

I know he’s in Ohio soon, but he has to TURN that one.

I figure he picked Biden because the polls said it was safe. Biden will not win him anything or lose him anything.
McCain however picked smart and I think used his instincts.
Obama is boxed in. He is running as a Senator, a far left liberal. McCain needs to keep hammering the energy issue and the push for a strong energy policy. He also needs to keep saying one thing over and over. The surged worked and if it had been up to Obama and the majority of Democrats our soldiers would’ve been brought home to failure and dishonor.

As for Biden, he is a self important blowhard. I hope Obama gives him a big platform to talk to himself which is what he does best.

Liberals, Jewish, pro-life columnist Nat Hentoff recommended her in April.

Hentoff is interesting. He is very liberal, almost socialist on a lot of things, but he said that he saw the similarity between abortion and the Holocaust -- i.e. get rid of the unwanted. He's staunchly pro-life.

Well, Johnson is da man.
But, don’t tell my boys.
I said here on FR in May to check out Palin. Shortly before that, I told my kids, more enthusiastically, that she would be Mac’s VP.
They laughed.
Now they think I am Nostradamus.
My older son (a junior at a big university) can vote for the first time. I was very disappointed when he told me he would vote for Obama, amazed and outraged, he was, that Mac, though not PC, could not even use a computer.
A month or so ago, however, he told me he was having second thoughts about Obama. I asked him why, and he said he noticed that the people he sees who support Obama are “stupid” and “intolerant” of any dissent or any question as to his “obvious entitlement.”
His words.
I suspect this anecdotal evidence is not unique.
Now, he loves Palin as VP and is, happily for me, in our camp.
I don’t know if earlier my comment to him that his college money would decrease dollar for dollar as Obama increased my taxes made any difference in his opinion.
I don’t think so.
I think the cool and hip thing to do (especially for college kids) borne of white guilt-induced infatuation for Obama is fading for young and old alike as we all come to know and not-love Obama, michelle, Jill and joe-six pack (who appeared to me to be somewhat intoxicated at an event today).
I think Palin will help Mac the most in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and with knuckle draggers everywhere who cling to religion and guns and love for America. If western PA comes through so will Ohio. And, then, it’s bye bye michelle, no Lincoln bedroom for you, you snarly ingrate.

About two weeks ago, I spoke with a friend of mine in Anchorage. She was a Romney supporter but when I asked her about Palin her enthusiasm went off the charts. She said that Palin is proving to be the breath of fresh air that the Alaska Republican Party needed. She told me that America will love Sarah Palin once she gets known.

Biden will not win him anything

Wrong: Obama-Biden have the plagiarist vote locked up, no ifs, ands or buts. Also maybe the hair-plug vote.
