Actually, that’s a medium sized caribou. I don’t believe (I could be wrong) it’s even a member of the deer family. OTOH, the moose is the largest deer and they get even larger than the caribou. There are some very large animals up there and some of them (bears) can be problematic when you’re out in the woods alone.

**Incidentally, Bill Burton, a spokesman for Sen. Barack Obama, declined to reveal how much money the Democratic nominee took in after his speech to 84,000 supporters in Denver and 38 million television viewers.**

I hope someone from the McCain campaign is making the Sunday talk show rounds, providing an updated total including tonight. The response to Gov. Palin has been amazing. I hope people here carry that enthusiasm to conservative candidates across the board. The GOP has a real shot, in my view, to steal back the House. It won’t be easy, but there are a lot of Dem freshmen reps in GOP-leaning districts.

one senior RNC official said McCain's pick "better like doing fundraising."

This whole Palin pick has the feel of a "Dan's Bakesale" - - - pent up conservatives will be practically begging her to accept their money - - - she may turn out to be the best fundraiser ever.

"‘Sarahcuda’"

Oh, like that!!

I sent in mine earlier today, I probably am in the $7 million, but I had no plans to send anything until Sarah emerged.

Obama's spending like a drunken sailor. No, make that 84,000 druken sailors. He's spent 4X what McCain has and is running even.

Obama and the DNC just pissed away a HUGE amount of money on that convention/stadium gimmick and got SQUAT in return.

The strong inflow of new cash and enthusiasm shows that Governor Palin was a wise choice.
