Quite right! Palin being an amateur (in the very best sense)will be a true agent of change. Does anyone actually believe that two liberal lawyers will be instruments of change? Palin and McCain are the maverick types who will seek practical workable solutions. Obama and Biden are all about making sure that public policy adhers to some puerile notion of doctrinal purity. I can guarantee you that Palin would never go the the teacher’s unions or the trial lawyers to secure their imprimatur before coming to solutions to problems. Obama is the same old rehashed liberalism that’s been around for at least a half a century. He and Biden must have victims, the more the better. Their basic argument is that people have no control over their own destiny. To them, ambition, drive, resourcefulness, self-control, self-denial, proportion, and measure have nothing to do with success. They’ll take care of you no matter what. That’s the bottom line. Barring true catastrophes there’s not a great deal Washington or government can do for you. They should help when genuine need is required. But, in the main, we are the architects of our own destiny. Obama would have you believe that we’re not investing enough money in our kids. Nonsense! Look at the schools in D.C., Chicago and other large cities. Despite the largest per capita expenditures in history they’re abysmal failures. Do you think Obama and Biden would send their children to a public school? My guess is no.

......practical workable solutions.....

That is pragmatism.

Being pragmatic is a no no for highly principled FReepers. If you can't act soley on principle, you are a baddy. It must be the doctrinaire conservative dogma or nothing
