To be honest, the first time I heard of her was shortly after Bush issued the Executive Order to open the OCS to drilling again. Gov. Palin was one of the first to open up its shores to drilling. Since I knew nothing about this Republican governor, I did a little digging to find out more about her. (The fact that I think she's a knockout doesn't make my interest wane, either!) All I remember is thinking: “Wow! A real-life Republican who is in office and still retains the old GOP values. How cool would it be for McCain to give her the nod!”

I'm just tickled to death by her nomination and I wish them all the luck in the world!

I never thought I'd see the conservatives so jazzed about this ticket, but the selection of Palin has done exactly that.

She's a great choice and has my vote wholeheartedly.

I think she'd be a lot of fun to hunt with.

Love that this came from the Boston Globe.
