I hate brainless, superficial cheerleader-ism - it doesn't do a damn thing to fix our country's problems. Governor Palin looks like she has the background and morals to do just that - so let's sell that aspect of her to the voting public.
And then, God willing if that happens, we have to hold her (& more importantly, her boss') feet to the fire. That's the worst aspect of cheerleader-ism: the unconditional support, even when not warranted. That's not good for the country, nor even for the leader being adulated.
Enjoy the moment and the elation.
