that few undecideds/ other? strange poll.
Almost no undecideds. Seems kinda early for that.
This poll tells me that McCain/Palin has a 10 point lead.
some convention bump
Laughable that anyone would have an “unfavorable” opinion of such an accomplished woman.
The CNN / Time poll had Obambi +5 before his convention. This poll shows he got a NEGATIVE bounce from it.
Unbelievable.
Now I’ll grant that it’s a holiday weekend and that many got away early and may not have heard the news on Friday, but, 41% have never heard of her? And these folks were hiding-out where?
Great poll. Obama ran against himself in July?
August 29-31: Obama 49%, McCain 48%
August 23-24: Obama 47%, McCain 47%
July 27-29: Obama 51%, Obama 44%
must be!!
Copied from the CNN page:
August 29-31: Obama 49%, McCain 48%
August 23-24: Obama 47%, McCain 47%
July 27-29: Obama 51%, Obama 44%
Why would anyone believe an outfit as dumb as this?
Clearly, we are on the right trajectory, not even factoring in the possible Bradley effect.
Beat me by 2 seconds;) LOL!!!!
Proof that FReepers are not dyslexic!
Thats my thoughts too. I dont believe anything time or cnn has to say that isnt confirmed by independent sources.
So it includes one day of Greek-god Obamamania, since the announcement was on the 30th. Still weekend polling, and in addition Labor day weekend. Most of the world of non-political junkies probably started learning something about her by reading the newspaper today. It probably means -- well it means very, very bad things for the Dems. CNN is another poll I don't pay attention to, but even it's showing Palin was an excellent choice.
Note that the Democrats have been knocked so off-balance by this move that they are forgetting to say ‘George W. Bush’ every 30 seconds.
“Gov. Palins approval: 38%, with 21% unfavorable and 41% never heard of her or have no opinion.”
Not bad. That’s almost a 2-1 positive. The challenge wil be to continue to shape positive opinion for most of the undecideds.
The media had Mondale with a 10 point lead at this point in the race...
Coming out of the convention, Dukakis was up 17 -- 55/38.
At the time, Obama seemed to be ahead by a mere 5 points, so I thought their comments were pure disinformation. With the latest polls, I think it becomes clear which candidate is in trouble.
