You know. You can try to teach your kids the right way to go and, for some reason, they will do what they want to do anyway. Bristol is a teenager with free will. Her parents may have taught her to wait until she was married but she, being a free moral agent, did what she wanted to do anyway.
It is good that they aren’t hiding this but getting it out there and McCain knew about this but felt this shouldn’t disqualify her to be his running mate. Look, if the current President can have supposedly “wild” daughters when he was running and his VP can have a lesbian daughter, then having a VP with a pregnant teenager is not the end of the world.
