The McCain campaign raised more than $10 million in the two and a half days after Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was named as the vice presidential running mate, bringing the total raised in the month of August to more than $47 million, campaign officials tell ABC News.

87.5 million for two months is not that great for McCain Palin though, that public funding system that Obamao abandoned seems a bit lean.
10 million in 36 hours or so, that is impressive.
Note to RNC, Drop the "I am woman, hear me roar" music too, (you know, the music Rush plays to MAKE FUN of feminazis) you won back the base a bit, don't screw it up now.
Congratulations to the Palins on becoming Grandparents soon.
I’ll second that! Big Families are great!
Wonderful news. Let’s roll!
And congratulations to the Palin’s on the news of becoming grandparents. I wish all children had loving, supportive parents like these.
The left better be damned careful with the Bristol Palin story or it will end up being 10 times that!
Think about what going after Cheney's daughter did for Kerry and Edwards. :-)
I remember that, and how VP Cheney, when asked for his response, smiled that crocodile smile of his, and said "I thank Mr. Edwards for his kind comments about my family." I bet Edwards wet himself with fear.
Ha Ha, gotta admire ol’ Dick Cheney.
When people think their candidate is going to lose, they don’t send money.
For the first time, I believe that McCain will win!
I gave as much as I could. I used the money I was saving for work clothes. I can make do with what I have. And if the Democrats win, then I might not have a job anyway.
McCain made a great pick with Palin. The base is fired up as much as I have seen since Reagan.
The McCain/Palin ticket will also appeal to independents and blue collar/Reagan democrats.
She really expands and solidifies the base. And extends support to other traditionally democratic groups.
Look at the poll demographics. Obama has not expanded his support with any demographic since February. In FACT, he has lost ground with a lot of groups, including core democrats. He has shown no signs of changing that tide. He cannot even get his democratic base nailed down, only getting about 75-80%.
So regardless of what these polls say today, what are Obama’s chances of winning in November? After the Palin pick, I think Obama’s chances are less than 25% to win. Probably even less than that.
Palin is such a great pick, and that is why the DEMS/KOS/DU groups are going after her personal life. They know Palin is going to hurt Obama bad in the fall. And since they have nothing of policy, or substance, they have resorted to personal slime. How disgraceful to makeup a story about a mother/daughter “baby-swap”. How low life can you be to do that, especially about a downs syndrome baby. Shame on you democrats for starting such filthy lies.
Do you know that all you are doing is firing up the Republican base more. Do you know how many women you are offending?
If the DEMS keep this up, McCain will win in an electoral landslide.
Good points! yes, we really need for McCain and Palin to win.
