In the 32-year history of Focus on the Family, we have offered prayer, counseling and resource assistance to tens of thousands of parents and children in the same situation the Palins find themselves in. We have always encouraged the parents to love and support their children and always advised the girls to see their pregnancies through, even though there will of course be challenges along the way. That is what the Palins are doing and they should be commended for once again not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but in living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances.
Being a Christian does not mean youre perfect. Nor does it mean that your children are perfect. But it does mean that there is forgiveness and restoration when we confess our imperfections to the Lord. Ive been the beneficiary of that forgiveness and restoration in my own life countless times, as Im sure the Palins have.
The media is already trying to spin this as evidence that Gov. Palin is a hypocrite, but all it really means is that she and her family are human. They are in my prayers and those of millions of Americans.
Who > said > this?
Sounds like Dobson.
I knew I would get ripped on the formatting.
It was formatted that way on the NRO site. I am guessing she received it via Blackberry. I did not see the Pastor’s name on the post. You can follow link to NRO site. They are good about answering emails if you want to ask.
Is this Dobson?
Interesting if so.
The Palins walk the walk, not just talk the talk. How keeping the baby somehow makes them hypocrites is beyond me.
While murdering unborn babies might be the lefts solution to down syndrome and teen pregnancy, the Palins believe in life.
This is going to be a good test for the liberals who always act like they are tolerant but, in reality, are FAR from it. I bet very few people today don’t know someone who’s kid either got pregnant, or who moved in with the boy/girl friend before marriage, etc.
It’s amazing how people tend to attack the sins that are visual. Reminds me of the Scarlet Letter. It’s very easy to attack the girls who actually follow through with the pregnancy; meanwhile, I wonder how many are sitting in corporate offices, or partners in big lawfirms, etc. etc. that nobody, but nobody may ever know have killed their own child.
Didn’t Dobson send someone to the Seekrit Kabal meeting to approve of Palin mentioned in another thread here?
This could be from Dobson. I will remind everybody that Dobson is not a Pastor.
AMEN.
This is Dobson’s CYA for going Liberal and supporting McCain.
His career may be toast now, being involved in the vetting of a VP candidate whose teenage daughter is pregnant. you cant sell that to Middle America and fundamentalist Christians
Dude...you have no idea what you are talking about. Middle America and “fundamentalist” Christians experience the exact same life issues as liberals. Dobson’s remarks are right on and Middle America will understand. You have a very skewed view of Christianity I am afraid....
baloney. True Christians understand forgiveness—they too realize they are sinners, whereas the left knows no sin, as that might necessitate repentance. Christians are not neanderthals or pharisees, just forgiven.
Oh please...”He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone.” Chrisitans will have no problem with this issue.
Where is your sarc tag?
susie
Ooops...forgot to change my tag!

Actually the timing on this couldn’t have been better McCain’s camp gets a slap in at the lib blogs for spreading vicious rumors of Palin’s “fake” pregnancy.
Obama just came out and said not to attack the little girl, saying that his mom had him at the same age.
Yes, it was a statement issued by Dobson. Found another link.
