Palin should drop out. It’s too much of a tabloid distraction, and the next round of attacks will be about her being a bad mother, putting her career ahead of her children’s well-being. This is only going to get worse for the GOP ticket.

God GOD, why didn’t McCain choose Romney?!?

Ease up a little. I favored Romney too but Sarah is an exciting pick and this isn’t going anywhere that won’t backfire for those willing smut peddlers.

Sorry, this is a 24 hour story, she’not dropping out, not going to happen, Obambi and his extremist followers aren’t going to get their wish. I’ll bet Sarah’s speech Wednesday will attract more viewers than Obambi’s did, and she will wow the audience like never before.

Although there is “support” for the Palin’s now...I think you have a point. This will be a distraction...and a big issue for real Christian conservatives

How in the world are you ever going to advocate abstinence-only education now...when the VP candidate has a pregnant teenage daughter? The jokes will be cruel

I think after all the glad-handing...Palin just may be asked to step aside

You forgot the /sarcasm tag.

Tabloid stuff is all the Democrats can come up with — which will make them as much of a joke as Obama’s experience.

BTW, Trig was born to Sarah on April 18th, four and one half months ago.
If Bristol is five months pregnant, then that should kill the story of Sarah’s fake pregancy.

By the timing, it sounds like Bristol got pregnant about the time Sarah was having her own baby. Was she "putting the new baby ahead of Bristol's well-being"?

If a 17-year-old wants to, she can find an opportunity to go through the motions needed to start a baby.

why didn’t McCain choose Romney?!?

Because, with Romney, he would lose. That would have been just about as exciting as Biden.

[God GOD, why didn’t McCain choose Romney?!?]

Because then you’d be defending peepstones, celestial marriage and Romney becomming God of his own planet. In comparison, a pregnant 17 year old is not much of a shocker given human history.

Palin should drop out. It’s too much of a tabloid distraction,..."

You honestly think the media would have given Romney or ANY Conservative better treatment? The left wing media has gone insane with hate for Conservatives. You think for a second that the left wing hate filled media would be appeased if Palin would drop out? I cant believe you would even suggest that she should drop out because of the media. Appeasement NEVER works. Palin does what is right, to hell with the tabloid media.

"...the next round of attacks will be about her being a bad mother... This is only going to get worse for the GOP ticket."
Wave the white flag to the lefties, join them in the attacks, and they might not hurt you.

"God GOD, why didn’t McCain choose Romney?!?"

The hate filled left would attack Romney too, they are so crazed with hate they would be all over him too because he is more Conservative than Lieberman or Ridge. McCain picked Palin, who is more Conservative than Romney, so grow a backbone, show a little courage and start supporting her instead of wishing she would quit!!!

If McCain had picked Romney it would have been a 7/24 media circus about how weird the Mormons are !

The attack on a 17 year old who made a mistake will backfire big time!
This only reflects on Governor Palin if proof can be found that she told her daughter get pregnant!

Nice going. Standing shoulder to shoulder with Republicans and conservatives to help our cause and keep Commie Barry away from the White House. That's the team spirit I've come to expect from the handwringers.

This ain't beanbag, pal.

“Palin should drop out.”

What’s your IQ Bird? I’m sure mine’s much higher than yours. /S

Actually this is masterful. A higher power than Carl was obviously involved in this. It’s one thing for Sarah to give birth to a Down’s baby. Few can truly relate to that, other than to assume most wouldn’t. However a teenage pregnancy is something everyone can relate to...

It’s the second “burnt stick in the eye” for Obama in as many days. The guy who wouldn’t want one of his daughters “punished” with a baby. (off to planed parenthood we go my dear)

It will only get worse for the GOP ticket if Palin does drop out. Which she evidently is not even considering, after all, she accepted the spot (and McCain offered it to her) with full knowledge of the situation and the media attention it would generate.

If Palin remains strong, the blowback on the Dems will be far worse in the long run. But if Palin drops out as you recommend, it will be a disaster for the GOP ticket that they will likley not recover from.

Besides, all of this media attention is going to ensure a huge audience for Palin's speech Wednesday night. Oprah nation laps this kind of stuff up and many of them who otherwise would have voted for Obama might just change their minds when they hear Sarah speak.
