Korean Press Gives Flattering Account of Palin (Japanese Text) Re: Her South Korean Connections
Joongang Ilbo Daily News, Seoul, in Japanese ^ | 2 September 2008 | Joongang Ilbo Staff

Posted on 09/02/2008 12:00:12 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

It is out of respect for Mrs. Palin that I link this.

I am too lazy at this hour [probably from fighting pitched battles with Bushbots] to provide the usual detailed and accurate AiT J-to-E Freepranslation. Maybe an English one will come out soon from this newspaper, or Freeper TigerLikesRooster perhaps can give us the synopsis from the Korean version.

Upshot: Major Korean daily Joongang Ilbo interviewed the Korean representative Kim Hee Chol based in Korea for the Alaska State Office in Seoul, and he provided all kinds of glowing praise of Gov. Sarah Palin, her warmth toward the Korean community, her golf skills / committment to Alaska-Korean Friendship and proclaiming that Official Day, her taking on powers that be for the little guy, her gutsy way, her grasp of Korean-Alaska issues (good for foreign policy stuff out there) HERE.

OK I know the RINOs and reluctant new RINO-supporters will love this, but FR is in fact a news clearinghouse to post the timely truth more than anything or anywhere else; credit where credit is due, if she did a bang-up job in this dimension of international relations as is written, this may also innoculate her against any flaming lib assertions of being close to racists, weak on international exposure, and what not--stuff they are no doubt cooking up in stinky, dank dungeons as we speak, so, well, have at it and enjoy.

For General Discussion.

The Japanese title of the article is:

「ペイリン副大統領候補は韓国に格別の好感」

"V.P. Choice Palin Has Positive Image/"Exceptional" Connection to South Korea"

At least it is one strong kudo from overseas from foreign sources who know of her work as Governor. For what it is worth.

credit where credit is due. they probably liked her action shots in Iraq I would imagine, holding those weapons.... not the longhaired peace demonstrators near Seoul City Hall who want US troops out—they would not appreciate her in that regard.

Tell us, please, what are we supposed to do this election? Sit on our hands? Vote for Bob Barr? Find a time machine to take us back to 1980? Tell us please, oh Oracle of the East.
Jeez...

Thank you. Palin has a lot of international experience in her dealings with South Korean shipping and fishing interests. Same with Russia, Canada and Japan.Officials from all four of these countries have praised her in the past.

Barr. Baldwin. Keyes. Write in Palin for President.

Heck there are all kinds of options this year.

There are more than these, if one truly cannot stomach Dem(D) or Dem(R). Very best to you and yours CD, enjoy the ceasefire while it lasts...

Korean Press Gives Flattering Account of Palin (Japanese Text)
Re: Her South Korean Connections

...but this can’t be true because Governor Palin has no “international
experience”.

The MSM has told me so and they don’t lie!
(/SARC)

Note below Palin’s expression of good will to another country that’s
always getting picked on while standing up to the evildoers of the world.

I’m sure the Democrats will lock onto the concept that Palin supports
constituencies that poise “a threat to world peace”.
Just by existing and even when they are just minding their own business.
Between terrorist attacks and threats from nut-burgers just across
their border.

Alaska - Chabad Rabbi: Sarah Palin a Great Friend To The Jewish Community
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2071815/posts

In particular, Gov. Palin signed a resolution in June of 2008 recognizing
Israel’s 60th anniversary and the unique relationship between Alaska
and the Jewish State,

I was personally impressed by Gov. Palin’s remarks of hope and faith
when she gave birth to a child with special needs. We all feel that
the Governor is a remarkable, energetic, and good person.”

What in the article it says is that there was Korea-Alaska Friendship Golf (some kind of get together or friendship event), heck it may have been in Korea. Whatever it was, she supported it and made it a success. I dont know if she actually did any of the golf, though.

even Reagan didn’t have the guts to pick someone like Palin. That’s why we ended up with 4 years of HW Bush...and 8 years of clinton. I figure 4 years of mccain and 8 years of Palin would be a better trade.

Well the time for thinking about alternatives is over.

Time for action.

All hat and no cattle makes Jack a dull boy.

If you are going to vote 3rd party do it, or write in a name, just stop the wanging and let us carry the battle without you.

That takes all the fun out of it! This thing is going to play out for a bit longer, at least until the Barr-Obama-McCain-Nader debates when we can hear what John McCain has to say on immigration, oil drilling, Campaign Finance Reform and global warming.....(said, being careful to adhere to the terms of the FR ceasefire).
