They weren't "released," but merely discovered by any one of a thousand enterprising reporters.

Discovered how? On the Internet? On a police computer?

The court and traffic records came out Sunday and Monday, not Friday. Government offices were closed all weekend for the Labor Day holiday.

If it is tinfoil-worthy why is a team of Republican lawyers headed to Alaska?

In many communities, court records can be obtained via internet. They can be obtained by fax and a phone call. They can be obtained by going to the clerk of courts and checking the records on file. There’s nothing unusual about her getting a personal lawyer to represent her interests and serve as a spokesman in matters pending legal resolution, especially for a public figure who must respond to many and varied constituencies.
