Noonan says Palin is a “Hail Mary pass” on McCain’s part. That may be true. However, the current attack on her also has all of the elements of a Hail Mary pass. If it fails to take her down, this election is over.

As to the rhetorical question, "Can she take it?", I'm reminded of Governor Palin's joke, "What's the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom?" Punchline: Lipstick.
I have the feeling that his lady will prove to be more than tough enough. I agree with Rush's comment that this attack on Governor Palin could backfire on the libs even more than the debacle at the Wellstone funeral did.
