Peggy has lost her mind. And her touch.

I don’t really miss her.

Yes, she is over-rated. I would say as a wordsmith she obviously has much talent, but the quality of intellectual content and ideas varies enormously.... sometimes good, sometimes quite poor. She is a narcissist..... i.e., “It’s all about ME” with Peggy Noonan. Once Pres. Bush and his team declined her offer of speechwriting services she has been increasingly alienated, I suspect.

McCain HAS stepped up, and even is boycotting some networks because of their treatment of Sarah Palin. I haven't watched a whole lot of TV over the last few days, but I have seen ads put out by McCain. I saw one today, pointing up Obama's inexperience, that was very good.

There's no point in complaining about the MSM. It doesn't matter WHAT the Republicans do, because they'll never be able to please them, so there's no need to even try.

I’ve defended her, and I agree with many of her criticisms about President Bush.

But I cannot defend this.

Hi Suzi, thanks for the reply.

I am being dramatic but am very perturbed by the way McCain has handled both defining his ticket and the opponent’s as well.

Do you think the Repubs have done an adequate job of vetting Obama? Honestly.
-I always respect fellow FReepers but don’t think they did.

McCain’s “introducing” ad was released friday afternoon when the announcement came and he finally responded today, 5 days later. I expected him to reply by the end of the holiday weekend and when he didn’t I was surprised.

I am not trying to rip on him but BEG him to be more engaged and proactive. He let others define the ticket and I hope, like most, that the “others” overplayed their hand.

The fact that co-workers call him McBush is merely anecdotal but daily proof to me that he hasn’t told the country his story. Like GW Bush? Laughable and it’s the whole reason I don’t like him!

In regards to yesterday, I had goosebumps and stood in silence as Fred told of Lt. Col. McCain’s heroism and unending loyalty toward our country and his brethren.
Every American should know that story and then see an ad about how BHO was smoking weed and doing coke as a young man instead of anything remotely significant.

I hope that McCain has really agreed to boycott the people that are doing this. It would be a good follow up to the first response via commercial today.

That being said, I am looking forward to finally meeting our VP candidate tonight. The public shouldn’t be expecting much with the way the media and Dems have set the bar.

Palin has to do well tonight and I hear that she is up for the task. I would love to eat my words in 2 months.
Enjoy.

Peggy became disenchanted with Bush years ago and turned against all things reasonable.

She's an east coast mainstream elitist. Has no clue about middle America. She's lost that connection somewhere.

I visualize her lunching with beltway ladies who exchange gossip and clothing tips.

No way no how. There is no excuse for that language. My 23 year old daughter who adores Reagan admired her. And this blows her character.
