Is it over for McCain?
MichaelSavage.com ^ | 9/2/08 | Michael Savage

Is it over for McCain? The Republicans can pretend that the media has turned against them. They can pretend that they used the hurricane as an excuse to avoid coverage of the convention. They can pretend that only evil, sexist, misogynists are against Sarah Palin. But the truth is that McCain’s cronies have made a fatal choice. They ran this gal up the flagpole and the pole broke from shock.

McCain did not want Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential pick. He wanted Joe Lieberman. And as insane as it sounds, even Joe Lieberman would have been a better choice than Sarah Palin. He would have been stronger on national defense. He would have been stronger on fighting Islamofascism. And for all his far-left views, he taught his daughter well enough so that she didn’t get pregnant as a teenager. But the Republican puppet masters gave Sarah Palin the nod instead. They thought women were generic. But Sarah is not Hillary to the millions of Clinton loyalists.

In Ancient Rome, the Publicans were contractors for the military and public works. The KBR of their time. Now the Re-Publicans are into contracting as well. And they seem to have taken out a contract on the presidential candidacy of John McCain. He could have been a contender. He could have been someone. But the powers that be have said, “Let Obama win.” And that is exactly what John McCain seems to be doing. I’m Michael Savage and I approve this monologue.

Savage and Noonan and David Frum versus Rush and Levin and Coulter.

Palin will tip the scales one way or another tonight with her speech.

He’s over. I listen to Levin, over his encore broadcasts.

He IS nuts.

He is so out of touch. I can’t tell you the amount of people I have talked to that were staying home on election day that are now thrilled with Sarah.

Those who seek to deify Obama - and there are lots and LOTS of them - are seeking just as assiduously to demonize Palin. Whatever happened to integrity and simple truth?

Savage jumped the shark ages ago for me. Still, he has a good nugget now and again, but this ain’t one. Unless Palin buckles, and I highly doubt it.

25% of the time Savage makes no sense. This is one of those times.

I’ve listened to Savage for a long time. He doesn’t like McCain, hasn’t liked him since waaay before the Palin choice.
