That's his prerogative. He said very good things about Sarah Palin, but said he didn't like McCain. He was clear about what he disagreed with. I have no issue with that. His vote is his to make. It's a free country last I checked.

Sure, I disagree with him on several things, but, he's managed to say what he likes about Sarah Palin, and say why he still isn't voting for that ticket, without attacking anyone's family. Much more than most of the Dems/MSM can say.

The reality is that the compliments are meaningless. If Gravel doesn't vote for her, but instead votes for Obama, it doesn't help Palin. I am not disputing his right to vote or how he votes. It appears Gravel, a former Senator from Alaska, is just supporting a home girl, nothing more.

Sure, I disagree with him on several things, but, he's managed to say what he likes about Sarah Palin, and say why he still isn't voting for that ticket, without attacking anyone's family. Much more than most of the Dems/MSM can say.

Gravel is an idiot and loose cannon. His performance during the Dem primaries showed how extreme he really is. He is part of the blame America crowd who sees this country as a force for evil and destruction in this world. For example, This role of trying to influence the world with our military might sustains bloated defense budgets that profit the few and impoverish the social and economic needs of the many.

Sorry, but I would be very wary of any compliments from this nut case as I would Kucinich and some of the others on the far Left. Gravel is using Palin as a vehicle to continue his attacks on Reps, the neocons, Wall Street, the military-industrial complex, etc. Here are some backhanded compliments re Palin:

I strongly disagree with her views on abortion, creationism, stem cell research and a host of extreme conservative views that are a product of her environment...Sarah has issues. What politician doesn’t? Hers are a product of family loyalty and insufficient knowledge of politics and governance.
