"But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet?..."
This so closely matched Reagan's ability to use humor to cut through the platitudes & rhetoric of his opponent to reveal the truth behind the facade.
This was brilliant!! She hit it out of the park!
That was about my favorite, too, but there were so many gems in that speech, it was completely thrilling!
Let us not forget to thank John McCain by our support and our contributions for bringing this star into our focus; let’s NOT forget his self-confidence in picking someone who brings such excitement to the ticket, who has chosen wisely and well!
Let us continue to hold our ticket leaders and their families up in prayer, safe from the screaming demons of the left and the media. If this week has done anything for John McCain, I hope it has shown him how utterly craven his former “friends” in the media and politics truly are, and how much his wisdom and genuine leadership is appreciated (and needed) by his true friends on the right.
