Feisty Sarah Palin sinks boot into Obama

SARAH Palin has dismissed Barack Obama as a slogan-wielding lightweight in her speech to the Republican national convention.

The woman plucked from almost nowhere to be Republican presidential candidate John McCain's vice-presidential running mate was the headline act at the convention today after two days of self-imposed media exile.

The Alaskan Governor and former small town mayor had gone to ground after the McCain campaign confirmed that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, sparking a media storm and catapulting the teen and her boyfriend into the global spotlight.

Senator McCain joined Mrs Palin and her family - including 18-year-old Levi Johnston - on stage after the feisty speech. "Don’t you think we need made the right choice for the next vice-president? And what a beautiful family," he told the cheering crowd.

After the speech, Senator McCain was officially nominated as the party's White House candidate.

Meanwhile, Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden has said in a TV interview that his party might pursue criminal charges against George W. Bush after he leaves the White House, Britain's Guardian newspaper has reported.

And the Rats come out looking unhinged! I love it!

QUICKIE QUIZ: NAME THAT FEMALE POLITICIAN!

This is a nice Blog Entry:

***************************EXCERPT******************

Published in September 4th, 2008
Posted by Berlet98 in AMERICAN CULTURE TODAY, OBAMA, POLITICS, QUICKIES

She’s a female politician with 5 children, one of whom is a 17 year old girl in her senior year of high school.  Her hubby is supportive of her ambitions.  She’s in her mid forties and her political duties consume much of her time.  She is determined, forceful, and confident. Name that politician!   For the correct answer scroll down………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

The answer:   Mrs. Nancy Pelosi, less than affectionately known in some quarters as Bela Pelosi, now Democratic Speaker of the House.  She entered Congress when she was 47 when her youngest daughter was 17 in her senior year of high school.  That was in 1987 and, just coincidentally, since then her family fortune has grown so impressively that she is now a multi-millionaire.

Nancy Pelosi

Some quiz-takers may have guessed Governor Sarah Palin, a good guess since they both have 5 kids, one a 17 year old girl in her senior year of high school.  However, when Mrs. Palin becomes the Vice President of the United States she will have a huge staff to take care of the nittygritties of the office while she tends to the real business of government and to her family.

Point is, obviously, why the hypocrisy toward Palin?  Why is one of the many underhanded and sexist attacks on Palin being circulated in the blogosphere, at the spoken and tacit behest of the mudrakers in the Democratic Party, that she can’t do both jobs well?  Did any Dems say that of Co-President Hillary or Vice-President Wannabe Geraldine Ferraro?  Did any Dems dare  suggest that to the slew of Dem women who now run statehouses, fill the halls of state legislatures and of the U.S. Congress?

Methinks I smell the vile stench of feminist sanctimony.

I can almost hear Toby Keith singing, “We’ll put a boot in your a$$, cause it the American way.”

indeed...much like the way they are about any minority....racial, sexual, gender, religious

the left only likes minoroities when they conform to their agenda

otherwise they act more bigoted than what they accuse us of

It occurs to me that being a governor (the largest state in the USA) is as an exclusive club as the U.S. Senate. Yet only one compared to two senators per state (57 if obama is counting)

She is very personable in person and will win hearts across this country. I have met her. I have also received a condolence letter from her recently for the loss of our son. She has our highest regards and praise in the State of Alaska. I also want to take exception to the news media when they talk about her son and husband being an Independent voter...my husband is also an Independent...but alot of Alaskans are independent thinkers and most are also Republican at heart!
