A German's View On Islam
ORBAT ^ | 9-3-08 | Emanual Tanay MD

Posted on 09/04/2008 12:55:08 PM PDT by swarthyguy

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

"Very few people were true Nazis," he said, "but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.

We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectra of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughtered Judeo-Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers. The hard quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the "silent majority," is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the >murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace loving"?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

- Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

-Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.

As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Short, to the point, and rings true. Amazing how my fellow bloggers somehow seem to have so much more intelligence than the MSM.

“The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.”

A fanatic founded Islam, so is that a surprise?

>>more intelligence than the MSM.

Damning with faint praise, lol.

You’re correct about the succinctness and brevity of this piece.

Clears out the underbrush rather well.

Worth Repeating Again and Again.

“A fanatic founded Islam, so is that a surprise?”

The Koran is their handbook on terrorism.

Actually, a bandit founded Islam. Fanaticism was just a useful tool for him...

Bingo!

“Religious martyrs are not dead. Do not cry for them. There is a conspiracy against Jihad.” - Abdullah el-Faisal, Muslim Cleric, statements in London, 2002.

“Allah is its goal, the Prophet its model, the Qur’an its Constitution, Jihad its path and death for the case of Allah its most sublime belief.” - Hamas Charter.

“Safety and security can only prevail under the shadow of Islam.... The members of other religions must desist from struggling against Islam....” - Hamas Charter, Article 31.

“The Muslim people see these pilots as criminals. By going into space they would have sharpened the accuracy of their bombs through satellites. These missions would increase the number of satellites for military purposes. It would increase the slavery of governance of other countries by America. It is a punishment from God. Muslims see it that way. It is a trinity of evil because it carried Americans, an Israeli and a Hindu, a trinity of evil against Islam.” - Abu Hamza al-Masri, Muslim Cleric, statement concerning Columbia Space Shuttle Disaster, London, February 04, 2003.

“I wonder – is the possibility of being killed through ignorance of a threat somehow secondary to surviving at the expense of offending someone’s ethnicity? Have we all gone nuts? (Somebody better turn up the burner on America’s melting pot – there are still a few lumps in the broth.)
“The media, and most politicians, are reluctant to identify a terrorist as a terrorist, preferring the term “militant” – all the while assuring America that ‘most of Islam is moderate and not all militants are terrorists.’ Even a quick reading of my book, The Everlasting Hatred, the Roots of Jihad, would dispel that fantasy.” - Hal Lindsey, “Survival Speak”, January 2, 2003.

Boarding Middle East Airlines flight 804 from London to Lebanon, I was picking out the terrorist. The guy in the shiny suit who looked like Danny Thomas—it wasn’t him. The exhausted mother with three children under three—It wasn’t her. Then dozens of swarthy youths, bearded to the eyes, came trotting on board. They wore the off-brand blue jeans and pilled-up synthetic polo shirts that are the usual mufti of the Lebanese militias. “Allah akbar!” they shouted as the plane took off, which just means “God is great” but always sends a chill up my backside. As the hoot of the Moslem fundamentalist, it carries a meaning like “Jesus loves you!” would if Jerry Falwell and his friends were running around America murdering Episcopalians. I headed for the toilet to take a nervous leak and size up my flying companions. - P.J. O’Rourke, Republican Party Reptile, 1987.

“The East and the West belong only to Allah...” - Quran, Surah II: 142, “The Cow.” tr. M.H. Shakir.

“Announce painful punishment to those who disbelieve.” - Quran, Surah IX: 3, “Repentence.” tr. M.H. Shakir.

“One of the most interesting and harmful delusions to which men and nations can be subjected, is that of imagining themselves special instruments of the Divine Will.... Islam with its fanatical belief that every soldier dying in battle for the True Faith went straight to a Paradise is more attractive than that of the Christians, as houris are more attractive than harps.” - Bertrand Russell, “Ideas that have Harmed Mankind”, Unpopular Essays.

“When a boy becomes a martyr, thousands of people attend his funeral. Poor families become celebrities. ‘Everyone treats them with more respect after they lose a son,’ a martyr’s father said. ‘And when there is a martyr in the village, it encourages more children to join the jihad. It raises the spirit of the entire village,’ he continued.” - Jessica Stern, Foreign Relations.

Now they just 'accidentally' shoot anti-government bloggers in the head!

Owner of Russian opposition website killed

Detained by police and then 'accidentally' shot in the temple... imagine that!

Good article btw. People who chant the 'it is a religion of peace' mantra have no clue what they're up against.

The Koran is their handbook on terrorism.

To an extent -- it strikes me as more the irrational ramblings of a madman interspersed with hate speech, but the hadith are REALLY nasty!

There are some good illustrative quotes from radical islamists in the front of some of Daniel Silva’s excellent novels too. I hope he stays safe.

We got a guy that wants to sit down and be touchy-feely with the fanatics. They will eat his lunch.

The fanatics love Alah so much they are willing to die for him. Sounds like an opportune time to make them an offer they can't resist.

Check this one out....

Hunting bin Laden by Rob Schultheis, a new pub.

Rob has quite the resume, as he was a regular inside Afghanistan beginning in the early 80’s.
