I’d put NOTHING beyond the capacity of the barking moonbats. The value power over everything, and playing dirty is standard stuff for them.

Perhaps a tad on the paranoid side, at least in terms of scope, I would think. But one malevolent hacker nerd type? —Now there’s always that possibility.

McCain isn't using the prompter tonight anyway, his speech will be town-hall style amongst the delegates.
Maybe he should beware of Jedi mind tricks though.
Anyone spotting a 3 foot green 700 year old delegate with big ears, please notify the secret service.

I didn’t hear about the teleprompter, but I do recall being very impressed at how well she spoke using notes. She didn’t falter at all.

Unfortunately, McCain probably won’t deliver anywhere near the address Palin did (or Rudy or the Huckster).

Hopefully though, he’ll just hit a solid double and not say anything stupid about global warming, comprehensive immigration reform or reaching across the aisle. That would be a real downer.

I watched an interview with a Palin staffer on Fox this morning. She said the teleprompter was not working at all until just before the speech but they got it working just as Sarah approached the podium. After that she stated it was a boneheaded operator (her term) who did not pause the teleprompter during applause.

Sorry, no left conspiracy, just presentation gremlins.....

Wrapping it in tinfoil probably would’ve prevented any interference.

Rudy had trouble too, but I think you’re right in that there was some dirty work going on somewhere, somehow in the convention center.

I don’t think they’re that smart.

Fox has commented on the wrong version of the speech being loaded, and that even then, it was allowed to run ahead during applause.

But so what? Sarah Palin is a natural ;-) Don’t need no steenking ‘prompter.

It happened to Rudy as well. With Rudy and Gov Palin, the teleprompter kept running when there were applause lines which put it way ahead so both went to their written speeches but I know for a fact that Rudy deviated a lot from his speech after it happened and gave more red meat as I had a copy of his speech.

Gov Palin as a novice speaking to so many people hardly missed a beat when that happened and gave the best speech I have heard at a Convention.

As mentioned it also happened to Rudy. It is curious though why after successful implementation after two days—these two critical speeches have huge issues. Either it was human or it was a larger force. Either way they both showed throw what you will at them . . . and they will ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

Oh, come on.

OK, I have a different theory. Republican handlers warned her ahead of time that they were going to screw with the teleprompter and when they would do it. So she memorized that part of the speech so that everybody could marvel over how cool and calm she was was under pressure.

Given that these are politicians we’re talking about, one is just as likely as the other.

Personally, I think the teleprompter just screwed up.

I think it's possible for the 'rats to have learned what teleprompter would be used, and either bugged it or tested the model until they found a frequency that could interfere with it's normal operation.

I wouldn't put it past them to try it, but it sure didn't do them any good.

McCain/Palin 08!
