Election '08: Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden says that, if elected, an Obama administration might pursue criminal charges against the Bush White House. This is how he plans to unite the country?

Barack Obama insists he's the one we've been waiting for to bring the country together. Yet, he and Biden are signaling their willingness — or is it their eagerness? — to criminalize political opposition.

"We will not be stopped from pursuing any criminal offense that's occurred," Biden said Monday at a Florida campaign stop. "If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued — not out of vengeance, not out of retribution, (but) out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law."

This follows Obama's pledge last spring, before adopting his attack-dog running mate, that "If crimes have been committed, they should be investigated."

Treaties already trump Constitutional rights. If Hussein gets elected and manages to bring in a Senate with 2/3 Democrats and RINO suckups it is easy to imagine a treaty with Vanuatu having a provision that no provisions of the US Constitution shall be observed in either nation. After ratification that would be entirely Constitutional and would stand up in a strict Constitutionalist Court.

Once in power, the Democrats will have already be planned and ceasing “investigations” to not only smear but to 1) rewrite history to “show the criminality of Bush and all Republicans” and 2) through this seek to assure that the Democrat Party will rule in perpetuity - ie., forever and ever.

These people are filled with hate. They are sick, sick, sick.

The good news is that our current supreme court, deciding whether Texas can execute illegal aliens, concluded that the treaties do NOT trump the bill of rights. But three dissented. Two shifts in the Supreme Court topples our rights. If we win, our bill of rights might be spared.

Hope I cheered you some.

“These people are filled with hate. They are sick, sick, sick.”

This is why I did not like his remarks about reaching across the aisle and “we are all Americans”.

There is 1% of the leftist that have undeserved and unwarranted power in this country and they hate America. I want them destroyed... not bargained with or invited to the table.

How can you bargain with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi? He told the truth about the GOP abusing the public trust and becoming drunk with power. They failed miserably and created overwhelming obstacles to real reform for an otherwise promising ticket.

It was less than 24 hours before he was denying he ever said it.

He has a lot of practice in that. Maybe he should just make a recorded disclaimer he could automatically play on his answering machine 12 hours after any statement.
