It was always fun to watch them try to hide the fat one in Heart’s music videos. Almost as much fun as Wilson Phillips trying to hide fat Carnie. And just as unsuccessful.

Their music was always rubbish

They lost a big part of their fortune on a failed recording studio in downtown Seattle they sunk millions into.
They should be thankful anyone wants to play their music in public anymore that would help sales. I heard baracuda was one of the most heavily downloaded songs this week from the stores like amazon and itunes. I’m sure they aren’t going to be complaining when the monthly royalty check arrives.

Long as the Ascap fees are paid nothing can be done.
The owner of the copyright to the theme for Rush’s show hates that he uses it but he pays the ascap and can play any music he wants to...just like a radio station can. You can’t sue to keep your music off of a radio station either. I think the fees also go solely to the song writer...not the performers.

Is it me, or is Ann morphing into Roseanne Barr?
To: boop
Don’t know.
I just think it’s funny that you’d think after all this time Heart has dropped off the planet, they’d appreaciate that someone thinks one of their crappy songs is good enough to use and get the 10 cents royalty for playing it.

Debbie was a true gem. Heart’s best was Bebe Le Strange. That guitar hook was awesome.

This is discouraging, but guys let’s not get into name-calling and treating them like the Dixie Chicks. Heart is one of my favorite bands and they have a right to control their songs.
To: rottndog
Yeah, but back in the day before she gained all that weight, she was drop-dead gorgeous.

Quite a different response from the one the Brooks & Dunn(?) country singers had when Obama used their music. They said something to the effect that they were happy that their music crosses party lines.
Too bad these has-been Wilson people are too childish and self-absorbed to see the big picture.

I was wondering if this would happen. Ann and Nancy are notable liberals.

The song came out in 1977. So yea, its over 17 years old by a wide margin.
