IT’S TIME TO VET OBAMA ALONG WITH PALIN The reaction of Republicans and conservatives to the selection of Sarah Palin has been overwhelmingly positive. Predictably, starting with the Obama campaign itself, Democrats have sneered at Palin as a small town mayor and governor of a state with a population (600,000) smaller than many mid-size cities in the U.S. Yet she has more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined.

Alaska USA
The Census Bureaus Population Estimates Program (PEP) produces July 1 estimates for years after the last published decennial census (2000). Existing data series such as births, deaths, and domestic and international immigration, are used to update the decennial census base counts. PEP estimates are used in federal funding allocations, in setting the levels of national surveys, and in monitoring recent demographic changes.
With each new issue of July 1 estimates, PEP revises estimates for years back to the last census. Previously released estimates are superseded. Revisions to estimates for prior years are usually due to input data updates, changes in methodology, or legal boundary changes.
Population, 2006 estimate 670,053 299,398,484
Population, percent change, April 1, 2000 to July 1, 2006 6.9% 6.4%
Population, 2000 626,932 281,421,906
Bttt!
The only thing I would like to see "vetted" when it comes to the fabulous Sarah Palin, is her clear cut position, one way or another, on the Kennedy-McCain Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill of 2007 and whether she would have supported or opposed it as the tie-breaking vote in the United States Senate as Vice President. Amidst the euphoria, can we put the kool-aid down, fellow Americans, just long enough to ask this important question?
And today, whether she supports the revised 2008 GOP Platform on Illegal Immigration to it's fullest, or whether she has flexibility on the issue of "Amnesty" and "Bridge to Citizenship"?
Obama needs no more vetting in my book. He is hopeless.
Seriously, folks, when can we hear specifically on this issue out of the Vice Presidential Candidate's campaign camp and policy advisors? It is not being addressed and it was the hottest issue in the beginning of the GOP primaries. For what reason is it now off the table?
Stand up and fight! Stand! Stand with me! Fight! Stand and fight! Fight!
I would add

Thanks. :-)
While Alaska is demographically small, it is the largest state geographically - and that brings lots of challenges of the type that Obambi has never had to face, let alone overcome. Alaska is also the state with the harshest climate (though as a resident of south Texas I can claim that we're close), again bringing challenges unlike those anywhere else for a government. Further, Alaska is the only US state that has borders only with foreign countries - again, a challenge that Obambi has never faced.
Oh, and NONE of the mayors in the US has ever had to face these same set of problems, no matter the size of the city.
Keep at it Dems, you'll find that Sarahcuda isn't going to take your psychobabble sitting down - she's going to stalk it, shoot it, field dress it, cook it and eat it for breakfast.
I don’t know why the FBI would not look into all this, but the press is hoping it’s all legit. That’s the kind of guy they would love in the White House.
Let's assume the worst case, that McCain & Palin have the same exact stance on illegal immigrants as Obambi & Plugs. OK, what're you going to do, stay home? After all, there are about 100 other important issues out there on which it is CRYSTAL CLEAR that the people with a "D" after their names will be an utter disaster, and the "R" people either great, good, fair or less of a disaster.
While I view illegal immigration as a key issue (my wife is a legal immigrant, now a citizen...who will vote against Obambi), it ain't the only one. You really have to take all of the issues on which the D & R parties are similar or identical - because those offer no chance to discern between good vs. bad (or bad vs. worse, depending on one's outlook).
That said, I'd also like to hear her stance - but don't expect a VP to tell you that he/she has a vastly different view than his/her boss...that isn't going to happen. It doesn't mean that the view isn't different, just that you won't hear it in public.
Should have been: "You really have to take all of the issues on which the D & R parties are similar or identical off the table - because those offer no chance to discern between good vs. bad (or bad vs. worse, depending on one's outlook).
I and a number of Freepers whom I have been talking with via Freepmail want to know what the facts are. That's all.
For starters, you do agree with me that we should be able to know what the situation is, correct?
That is is first base, at the very least. Let us get to that first. Last time I looked, we FREEPERS were a solid group of reasoning, debating and investigating people, not a bunch of trained ostriches in a fenced in pen.
how true but how sad
I can not honestly imagine the damage Obama and his cronies would do to this country
Ping!
Palin's a good gal, but the way that conservatives have unquestioningly flocked to her and praised her and called her "Reagan in a skirt" is a bit how the liberals unquestioningly flocked to Obama and praised him and joked about him being "The One."
Conduct your due diligence on Gov. Palin, folks.
And just remember to watch McCain when he holds up Sarah Palin in order to distract conservatives from his agenda of joining with liberal Democrats to enact Big Government (known in some countries as "Socialism").
Lets not forget that the Russians send over their planes close to AK and she has had to deal with them on fishing rights etc
All this while Obama was appearing on the ellen show or was it the racist oprah
We all know about most of this. As long as the MSM doesn’t report it, we are pretty much preaching to the choir. Having Sean Hannity hammer Rev Wright day after day finally got it into the MSM, but it’s not enough. We need to email every MSM outlet, bombard them with articles and questions as to why they won’t write about this stuff.
It probably isn’t the FBI’s job to do so, at least for the birth certificate thing. For the other stuff, they can’t do anything about who a man chooses as friends. Since it’s a constitutional issue of eligibility, it’s the FEC that supposedly verifies it but there has been nothing procedurally set up since the inception of our republic. For one thing, no one under 35 has ever tried to get the job. And until today, no one ever tried going for the big kahuna job without a verifiable birth record.
Obama needs no more vetting in my book. He is hopeless.
***But his campaign opened that door so we may as well look behind it to see what might be of use to us.

***Good questions. I have no idea how to get answers.
Good writing. Thanks.
thank you for that info
