A link to a photo gallery of shots taken at the McCain-Palin rally in Cedarburg, WI - the first post-convention stop for the candidates. Media estimates put the event at 10,000 or more in attendance and long lines remained outside the area even after the event had concluded.
thank you!
:)
Great photos! Thank you for sharing!
Loved the photos.
Thanks for sharing your photos - very nice.
Small town America comes out to greet their own. The pictures are priceless! Wonderful!
Great pix! Thanks for sharing! I noticed quite a few younger people. That’s fantastic!
Those are great photos! Thank you.
I see from the campaign site they’ll be in Chicago on Monday.
That should be interesting......
There's even one on the roof (assuming it is). Anyone know how often that happens for a VP candidate?
A couple of the Cedarburg Lutheran and Catholic schools organized field trips to the event. Milwaukee school officials actually commented to the news that they didn’t think it was properly supporting the educational needs of the students. harumph.
The MSM will do whatever to destroy the Palins...and the RATS will stop at nothing. NOTHING!
Last night, Shepherd Smith, repeated MSM reporting, stated that only 1,000 were there. The local tv station reported 20,000 to 30,000 were there, per the state troopers estimates
Nice outing. But in all honesty (based on the pictures, at least) it doesn’t look like 20,000.
It’s amazing how many (and varied) improvised Palin signs there are. Why wait for a stuffy ol’ bumper stick. Create your own.
As a person who worked security at the event, the official count was 12,300.
Many of the officers you saw on the rooftops were Cedarburg Special Event police. They were located on various rooftops prior to the checkpoints. The Secret Service counter-sniper teams aren’t visible.
