Everyone is trying to make this out to be a horserace. I'm beginning to see a 45 State landslide. Common wisdom says Palin finally gives McCain a chance. I think McCain would've won anyway.

Barry Soetoro is hiding so much, all his friends have been hidden from sight, he's so inept in non-telestrator moments, and Hillary stomped him in working class Blue States like Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The inclusion of Palin has turned this thing into a landslide.

" John McCain told us he was going to "straight talk" with us and said that he needs to win Michigan!

McCain told the Michigan crowd that he would get government out of their way so they could recover from the loss of jobs, forclosures, etc. But Michigan has always had a huge, and growing, number of people who LIKE being on the government dole. Their Dem. Governor, Granholm, has expanded this group by sending Michigan into a huge deficit (which was later made up by increasing taxes) through state handouts by-way-of paying peoples utility bills, and handouts linked to "job training" programs. These people are embracing socialism a little at a time. The "straight talk" McCain needs to give Michigan and the entire country is that THIS election is capitalism vs. socialism, and Michigan is a good example. The "straight talk" is that if people are thinking of voting for Obama, they need to know they are choosing socialism.

A dear friend of mine, old liberal his whole life, told me he’s voting “Republican” this time. His words, “She is really impressive.”

Problemi s the MSM has time left to destroy her and I hope the SS assigns double the normal manpower for her protection --she left absolutely hates her and there are a lot of nuts around

It was about the current economic picture, and in big bold letters, it said, "The McBush Economy."

McCain neds to get on this FAST and point out the reason is the high energy prices that are a result of democrat policy

However, if they do dump Obama and put Hillary up, then they may gain the PUMAs back but they will lose a large segment of the black vote and totally rip their party apart, If they want to see riots then let them dump Obamaosama. I think they will take the hit with Obamaosama and cut their losses.

Unless they can fake a health problem with Obama and he throws his support to Hillary

Hillary supporters on talk radio have not given up hope

These women had better watch out... one of their members posted a link to Iowahawk, and they all read it and loved it! Before they know it, they’ll be reading National Review Online regularly (they are already aware of Stanley Kurtz’s work on the CAC papers), stopping by at NewsBusters and, dare I say it, registering at FreeRepublic to hang out with Palin supporters.

Watch and see. Now to prowl some more and bring back reports...

You guys know we’re gonna have to sew a gusset on the Republican Party Big Tent? Be prepared for the newbies that join us to be a moderate-to-liberal crowd. If we can just remain tolerant of some dissent within our party we can crush Obambi and take back Congress.

The great thing about those folks at HillaryClintonForum is the obvious higher level of discourse shown in their posts. Intelligent, educated and courteous in how they address debate. I mean, we have major core differences in our political platforms, but these are not hate-filled spew-monsters of the kind you find in DUh and KOS. These are people who we can have a meaningful conversation with.

If there was ever a hope of reaching out and working together despite our differences, this is a crowd that I have high hopes for. We may never agree on some of our core beliefs, but there's potential to work together and achieve meaningful results on the issues we do agree on.

Exactly.

Yesterday they were talking about health care. They are mostly convinced that our system is broken (well it kinda is, but I digress) and that the HillaryCare plan from the 90s would have been perfect, probably because Hillary talked about it, and it’s been resurrected as an issue, plus, hey we are all 14 years older. But anyway, one poster said that McCain’s plan allows up to $5,000 per year tax credit to cover insurance, and suddenly a number of them were in favor of that. So they aren’t dogmatic about a certain solution, they are just tired of the insurance red tape and delay (and so am I, although my insurer has taken a huge hit with my cancer and kidney dialysis). Thank God for Blue Shield!

Don't think so. Health problem is to obvious and they would not fool the dems unless of course they said he was out of his mind and committed him, which of course he is. The way he rambles and stutters when he talks seems to me to be a mental disorder, extreme Liberalitis I believe it is called.:)

Ok, in all seriousness, I don't believe they could get away with that, plus they would be admitting they made a mistake, there is no way in he** the Dem party officials are going to admit they were wrong and, as I said, it simply wouldn't go over with the black community.

ZERObama is in real trouble.

I had the opportunity to attend the McCain-Palin rally in Sterling Heights, MI with a friend last Friday (9/5) and the line in from the parking lot was long but it moved at a fairly good pace. Once inside the pavillion of the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, we spotted two decent general admission seats on one of the aisles just left of center stage but a woman sitting in the the third seat denied us the two seats while claiming rights to all five (the 2 to her left and the 2 to her right) seats saying that “...these people are here...” and “...they’re in the parking lot and they are on their way in...”. The SNAFU got the attention of one of the ushers but she was feigning a cell phone call and was effectively unavailable and too important to hear the man out as he tried to explain that those seats were not hers to save for anyone and that she would have to abide by the rules which were printed on the face of the ticket. It was the same story a couple of rows up- Some middle-aged “blonde”, sitting pretty all by herself claiming a group of seats for people who were not yet past security and the turnstiles. Upon my return to the original row of seats, another usher had shown up and was trying to explain the facts of life to the first “blonde” but she was bound and determined to “own” those five seats. Once the ushers realized that this person was intent on being difficult and rather than let her continue to make a scene, they were kind enough to offer us some seats down in the VIP rows for our trouble. I couldn’t help but think and to remark that those two women had just exhibited the symptoms of liberalism and how their sense of entitlement made them look ridiculous considering that one of the themes of the evening was “Country First”. My friend and I owe you guys a big thanks. Another thought occurred to me at that juncture-That the system works!
