There’s a post somewhere here on FR from right after the convention that were taken by RedState. I saw flags mixed in with Pizza boxes and cups.
They might not even like the flag they just used it because it was expected but they could have recycled!!!!!!!!!!
The proper way to dispose of a flag is to burn it when it is no longer serviceable and then bury the ashes. It is not to be tossed into the trash.
The flags in question were not covered in what I saw regarding disposal, but if they weren’t to be used then I’m guessing the same procedure would be applicable.
To bring them out on stage and show people what the Democrats had planned for old glory would be a powerful statement indeed.
recycled? Them? They talk the talk but NEVER walk the walk when it comes to them.
How many ordinary folks, if they were lucky enough to get a chance to attend a national political convention, would want to keep one of those flags as a souvenir?
(But apparently not if you’re a donkey).

Yep, they are all about O and their leftist, socialist agenda and the McCain and Palin are about the USA and so are conservatives.
Liberals are all about “me, me, me”...sad. They wouldn’t know the meaning of sacrifice.
I still remember the amazement by those in Colorado after Dan’s Bake Sale. The city was expecting and ready to clean up tons of trash and were shocked that there wasn’t any lieing around. Just a lot of full trash cans. The only damage was to a flower pot and that was done by the horse of a mounted policeman.

They should get the DAV, VFW, and American Legions involved.

1.) The obvious disrespect for the flag.
2.) Wastefulness, if there were unused flags, why not take them to the next event? Instead there is wasted natural resources, energy and money.
3.) Shows that the speech attendees either didn't want a flag at all or didn't want to keep it after waving it for the cameras.
4.) Shows that Obama money management skills suck and if he blames it on others (as he will most likey do) it shows he lacks the ability to choose responsible people. Remember he will be spending the taxpayers money.
What ever happen to Recycling and conservation? Maybe these people cant recycle unless the there is a blue or green bin around.

Darn right they are questioning someone’s patriotism - and for good cause.
It’s not necessary to wonder what the DNC should have done with the flags they no longer wanted or needed. It’s fairly easy to get information on the proper handling and disposal of the nation’s flag - all it takes is two minutes on Google or a call to any veterans or military organization.
You would think that a group of people who can figure out how to raise hundreds of millions in campaign donations, run a two year political campaign with jumbo jets flying tightly calculated schedules, national and international pep rallies, and rock-star style arena events could get the info on a simple item like flag disposal.
The event planners should have had flag collection bins available and put some instruction signs around for Democrats who didn’t want to keep the flags and who are too uninformed to know that you don’t just throw the flag on the floor or into a garbage can.
At the end of the rally, any vets group would have accepted the flags to reuse or to dispose of in an honorable way.
These flags were disposed of in this manner because they were nothing more than stage props to the democrats - “fool the rubes by waving a flag”.
Also - they sure made a point of pretending they were rumnning a GREEN, non-polluting convention and the media played the game with them.
How does purchasing, then throwing away, thousands of reusable flags fabricated of man made materials and petroleum derivatives like plastics fit into the GREEN theme?

You can drop old flags by your local VFW and they will care for them.
