Obama wins this election: Hillary can’t run till 2016, and then must face Biden or whoever is the Vice-president in 8 years in the primaries.
McCain wins but only serves 4 years: Hillary runs against another woman who has been the Vice-president for 4 years.
McCain wins and has successful first term: Hillary won’t challenge him.
The way I see it, her future is very dim.
Good analysis. But I think she will challenge him, successful term or not. She wants the power too much.
i agree her future indeed looks bleak! But if McCain wins she sure will challenge him! After all she’s 61? right now and will be 65 in another 4 yrs. IF she doesn’t become president by then, then she prolly never will, for 8 yrs. from now, she will be 69—— too old for office
Let's not forget that as VP, Palin will also be president of the Senate, where Hillary will ostensibly be serving over the next four years.
Add to that, that Palin will no doubt have a much larger role in day to day governance than any previous VP, and you've got a nearly un-winnable situation for Hillary in 2012.
By 2012, unless Hillary has built some very serious credentials, she'll look no more electable than she does now. Just older, and more disgruntled.
On top of all that, this is Sarah Palin we're talking about here. She beats the pantsuit off Hillary in any category you'd care to name.
