I’m not sure I get what you are worried about.

The person who would know exactly what to do in every scenario you described as never been born. A President has to assess each situation as it develops, listen to a plethora of advisors, consult whatever intelligence is available and weigh whether or not it is credible, and make a decision.

So you want a President who is at least familiar with that process and who can provide leadership, because they have a track record of making difficult decisions.

It is clear that Obama has absolutely no experience in that arena. His own arrogance will prevent him from even getting all of the facts, let alone allow him to make a rational decision. And his history of being around America hating individuals will color any of the decisions he makes, because he does not believe in American superiority in any sphere.

Biden has never had to make a decision that has cost him anything. That is how he has lasted for 36 in the Senate. No matter how outrageous he acts, how many lies he spouts, how many wrong decisions he makes, no one holds him to account.

At least with McCain and Palin, you have people who have had to make decisions with real consequences. And with them you know they love America. So they are going to decide scenarios that are based on us winning rather than us saying “mea culpa”.

I’ve seen enough of Palin to know she could handle the Oval Office if she had to. She understands the process, and she understands accountability. That is light years ahead of either person on the Democrat ticket.

So I don’t see your concern.

What i want is somebody who understands foreign policy well. For when you do get that 3 am phone call you can consult with your experts and decide for yourself what’s the best course for the country. If Mc Cain wasn’t this old and vulnerable i would have no problem.

coming to obama, the thing is even if you spend a couple of yrs. in the senate foreign relations committee or armed forces committee you get a rough idea about the foreign policy/security challenges facing the country. But since obama hardly showed up or paid any attention to those senate deliberations it’s safe to assume that he too doesn’t have much experience! But atleast his running mate does. Now i may not agree with biden most of the time but he sure knows a thing or two about foreign policy. Also he personally knows many world leaders...Many don’t realize it but chemistry between leaders is an important ingredient of diplomacy. But then again i don’t agree with many of his policies. He may know what to do during a time of crisis but won’t do anything to stop that crisis from happening in the first place.eg. he may know what to do if there is a war between iran and israel but would prolly do nothin if iran explodes a nuke.McCain prolly would but don’t know how long he’s gonna live.

We are facing troubled times and we are forced to choose between McCain/palin and obma/biden!! This is the best america could come up with!!
