Sarah Palin will be missing from action Sunday a.m.

Today, top McCain aide Rick Davis indicated the campaign isn't in any hurry to slot Palin for a Sunday show appearance -- and will do so only if he and other strategists determine it serves the ticket's purposes, not because some may view it as a required initiation for a major political player.

Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show, Davis said, "I'd never commit to anything in the future. ... Our strategy is in our hands, not the media's. We're going to do what's in our best interests to try to win the election. If we think going on TV news shows are [sic] in our best interests, we'll do it. If we don't, we won't."

I don't think she could give her first interview with a Brit paper after the bashing Senator Obama took about his European victory tour. However, they have definitely earned slot somewhere down the line.

“Someone mentioned that Biden did not appear on the weekend after the Dems convention”

That had to be a first!!! Joe holds the record for most Sunday Talk Show appearances. One of the early complaints v. Gov Palin was that she hadn’t been on Meet the Press yet. The are so damned self-important.

Even now, bin biden's whereabouts are a mystery. Not clear yet if he's hiding or just that nobody cares.

They probably taped his mouth shut and accidentally killed him and they are trying to figure out a cover story.

I think McCain is putting the breaks on Gov. Palin. He doesn’t want to be over shadowed... I think he’s to late.

Well I was just joking about the Brits but it's a shame when they see a Thatcher and our media tries to portray her as trash because they worship the messiah.

Don’t mean to toot my horn but I said something similar in a different thread about it being in the campaign’s better interest not to have her on. So glad that they have taken that approach. Screw the media. If she appears anywhere it should be with Scarborough, Hannity and MAYBE Lou Dobbs. The rest of them can take a long walk off a short pier.

As far as the criticisms of her ducking or being scared, who cares what they think? What they think only matters to those on the left. They are useless and the campaign should not reward them in any way whatsoever. If they want to cover her rallies and interviews with non-partisan reporters they can air it. If they don’t, too bad for their ratings.

Yes! Just like the 0bama’s campaign decided they didn’t want to have many townhall-style debates with McCain, each campaign should decide what’s best for them! Don’t let the pundits decide your strategy! Kudos for McCain/Palin campagn.

They need to seek out conservative journalist and throw the big interviews to them. It’s time to stop feeding the monster.

Thank you! I want to go! didn’t know

Happy to help.
It diminshes my sadness to find out McCain/Palin are appearing
in Lee's Summit...not in my neck of the woods (Columbia, MO)
as a friend told me a few days ago.
Family situation prevents me from leaving town for some time.

Have a great time...and hopefully it'll be a monster crowd
like the ones McCain/Palin drew in Wisconsin and today in
Colorado Springs.

And be sure to take a camera/videocam as you'll be witnessing history!!!

(I do feel a bit sorry for pastors/preachers/ministers in the
Lee's Summit area...I suspect there'll be many empty pews
tomorrow morning!)

Once Opera has her on, then she should consider the Sunday circuit. Since Opera doesn't consider her to be big-league, then why should she act big-league.

I love it.

That is laugh out loud funny. Dude, you are absolutely clueless. The dude picked her because she's going to win th is thing for him; he could care less if she gets a lot of attention.

Besides no one watches the Sunday interview shows.

I do. It's my favorite TV hour of the week.

Nuther ropadope. The MSM will get to sqawking and mocking and saying she is too clueless to face a big mean reporter then they’ll let her eat one for lunch and the crowd will go absolutely berzerk. Let the MSM put that bar nice’en low so we can create a legend. Luv it.

After the MSM tried to trash her and Palin made that wonderful acceptance speech that essentially flattened the MSM like a perfect bowling ball strike taking down all ten pins, the McCain-Palin campaign officially showed what a bunch of losers most of the MSM are anyway, so there.

“Dude, you are absolutely clueless”

I don’t think I’m clueless. He’s running for President and the only name in the news is Gov. Palin. McCain has a big ego, and it’s being over running by his VP.

If she hit the talk shows, her ratings would blow his away... She is more popular and the media would point it out. She is Presidential, and McCain is a Senator.

disclaimer:
(I was going to be forced to vote for McCain. Now I’m voting with pride and praying for a Pres. Palin).
