Today's Rasmussen rolling 3 day average says:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday, September 7, shows the race for the White House is tied.In the first national polling results based entirely on interviews conducted after Sarah Palins acceptance speech, Barack Obama gets 46% of the vote and so does John McCain. When "leaners" are included, its all even at 48%.
Rass says: Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 1,000 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. The margin of sampling errorfor the full sample of 3,000 Likely Voters--is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Results are also compiled on a full-week basis and crosstabs for the full-week results are available for Premium Members.
The script for Zogby and Gallup goes like this.
1. Make it seem like Obama is down.
2. At the debates have him begin to surge (by reporting the actual numbers.)
3. Make the American public think that ZerObama has the Big Mo. This brings on all the undecideds...who after all have to be mentally challenged given that they can't make up their minds between McCAin and Obama. (They think their job is the guess the winner, not to vote for who's best for the nation.)
4. It is extremely hard to counter the 'big mo' lie in the last few weeks of a campaign.
Rasmussen is excellent, but I think that his Republican / Democrat ratio is significantly lagging recent events. He’s using something like an 8-point gap, and that no longer reflects reality on the ground.
