“Question; are these the clouds that keep warmth in or the clouds that prevent the sun from warming the earth. We gotta make sure we are making the right kinda clouds.”
I can see it now: The 21st Century’s signature protest song will be “Send in the Clouds got in My Way”

Back in the 1970s with the global cooling scare they were planning to use carbon black to spread on the Arctic and Antarctic to melt the ice. Planned on using the new 747 to do it. Ground up tires were to be used for the carbon black.
Stupidity is cyclical, follows climate change around like a shadow.

Nuts; I liked it better when they proposed dumping liquid methane above the tropopause to make more ozone; amounts to the same thing and it could be done with just a few space flights.
Or, they could just leave the earth alone and maybe it’ll keep on spinning unimpeded and unaltered.

The lack of sunspots should lead to increased gamma radiation. That will increase cloud nucleation. There is no need for this silliness. If anything, it will accelerate what may well be the leading edge of another ice age. If you think warming is bad, just try growing crops in the snow.

This is getting comical. The arrogance and idiocy is astounding.

The Soviets boasted back in the 70s that they could change the weather by seeding with silver iodide via bombers. Turned out to be just another fraudulent claim.
During the Olympics, China boasted that their seeding efforts swept the smog out of Beijing in time for the Opening Ceremonies. No proof whatsoever to suggest that they even lifted a finger to alter the climate so as to bring about wind to blow the pollutants away.
We’re specks of dust on this planet. To think otherwise is vanity.

Well it’s definitely a better method of fighting climate change than imposing taxes to stop you from doing things, like the demoncrats want to do.
Not to mention it cost a lot less than welfare:
Cost of Welfare in 2000: $434.4 billion
Cost of building these ships: about $5.3 billion
In other words this cost about 1/100 of the cost of welfare.
Not to mention that building these ships probably makes more jobs than putting people on welfare.

Somebody clue these people in.

We going through a remarkable period of no sunspots. Last time like this was the little ice age.

This is great technology to know how to do. It will increase freshwater supplies and hydro power and can be used to manage the energy that enters weather systems to prevent cyclones. The best thing about it is it is local in scale and therefore does not need UN control. I'm embarrassed by conservatives that don't want to explore new technologies that have real promise. Technology is what solves problems. The western states could not have been settled without geoengineering technology such as dams and aqueducts. This is a new technology that can increase our wealth and quality of life.

Can someone stop these idiots before they waste a bunch of energy doing this? This is witchcraft - Salem witch trials with no evidence but a hysterical teenage girl.
Stop.
It is all solar related and there is nothing you can do.
Carbon free energy - great - but at a reasonable price when the technology allows it. Not at psycho tax levels that Obama wants to impose.

Perhaps they can seed the sea bed when they're done seeding the clouds...
I'd love to see a "global warming" ship like this strike an iceberg.

But, won't this cause a shortage of rare fresh water over the land masses?
We do not have enough fresh drinking water now!

"Latham maintains that his groups idea is not pie in the sky ..." Sorry, pal. I'm holding out for actual pie in the sky.
Besides, this scheme only deals with one planet. I have more ambitious plans.
