He's screwed and still has the same problem: no notable accomplishments and/or substantive reform. His resume suitably fits that of a "Community Organizer". Photobucket

A bill to provide a mechanism for the determination on the merits of the claims of claimants who met the class criteria in a civil action relating to racial discrimination by the Department of Agriculture but who were denied that determination.

This one is unintelligible. It looks like the only ones that passed, were passed by unanimous voice vote.

Sitting down and actually reading for myself the bills he introduced showed me that not only is he not experienced enough to be president, but he is a radical of the Cynthia McKinney kind (minus swinging at a cop).

Most of his bills are racially based.

Country first? Sure.

I'm seeing a lot of "fluff" bills (commendations to people) and "Status: Submitted to senate" and such.

Not a lot done for someone who is in one of the most powerful bodies in the world.

We obviously do not understand the nuance, being ignorant republicans and all.

Yea, that one made my head swim too...

Fluff and racially centered legislation.

Most of these are bull$hit, phoney-baloney politically-correct bills-to-nowhere;
But the S.117 veterans’ benefits isn’t too bad. I think it will be abused by the mental-health industry (and the sop to them is probably the major reason for barfraq’s interest in it); but nothing, no amount of post-deployment benefit, is too good for our servicemen and women. So barfraq did OK on this one.

I guess if I were planning to run for POTUS and had no record of accomplishment, I might obfuscate and confuse that fact by sponsoring or co-sponsoring a slew of worthless bills, too.

Ok, one legislative bill that can be abused but seems to the otherwise sound.

I was honestly stunned at the lack of important legislation the Jr. Senator has written.

I’m even more shocked that other Senators are claiming he has the experience and/or ability to by our commander and chief.

Either their expectations of themselves are at an all time low, or the publics is.

The majority of the bills reflect a senator who represents primarily African Americans, not all Americans.

Personally I’m one who believes the less the Sentate does the more money I get in my paycheck - but this is ridiculous.

Where are his bills to pull us out of Iraq?

Were are the bills to help us achieve energy independence?

Where are the bills to help secure our borders?

Where are the bills that even look out for the best interest of the country in foreign affairs?

This reminds me of the AT&T practice of patenting everything in sight, no matter how trivial, in hopes that something of value will appear...eventually. If you throw enough at the wall, something might stick. It's all fluff. Perhaps he's hoping the sheer number of bills will be impressive. No more so than his penchant for seeking one position after the next...just to say he did. After achieving the position, he accomplishes precisely nothing of value. POTUS isn't a prize at the carnival. It's a critically important position. An empty suit just won't do.

Honestly, the size isn't even that impressive!!

Most Jr. Senators desire to achieve leadership roles in the Senate leads them to author more then a few bills a month.

I guess running for president and writing him memoirs did really cut into his job of being a senator.

All these are purely sympathy vote-getting shenanigans. To recognize Afro-Americans uniquely, and not all worthy persons. Not that it is a bad idea, but if this is ALL you do, then it says a lot about your ideas about ‘race’. There are plenty of wonderful scientists among the black community, many of which are talked about in textbooks in our schools. They number among a large group of multi-racial inventors, whose names are never put forward for recognition. They go un-named and un-recognized. This is a sad day for all races, when only one can be identified as worthy.
