Over the weekend, I noted the scurrilous claim of a left-wing blogger who “reported” the hearsay rumor that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called Obama a “Sambo” and Hillary Clinton a “bitch.”
Even the nutballs at the Daily Kos deleted a posting about the smear.
But it’s still out there.

Personally, I think the more of this absurd crap out there the better. Yes, it’s hard to read or hear about in the moment but the net effect over the next critical period is IMO to turn voters away from the Dems and to reveal the true nature of the extremists on that side.
Could this be the doings of the “Evil Genius” to create a backlash against the wacko dems?
If she did call Hillary Clinton a bitch, she’d be more popular than ever! ;-)
Who are Dick and Sharon Price?
Interesting question, and I’d love for one of our guys to investigate these two.

Macranger has been tracking down who was behind the original KOS post.
Two members of Barack of Obama’s campaign, Dick and Sharon Price, created a post today on their “LA Progressive” blog that accuses Sarah Palin of using the name “Sambo” to describe Barack Obama.
Aside from the fact that this constitutes slander, for there is absolutely no evidence - sources, etc, there is more to the story about “Dick and Sharon”. First, their blog only came into being on 10 March 2008 according to whois records.
This is about the time that several satellite Pro-Obama blogs began to appear around the internet, several of which were found to be funded by the Obama campaign. Most likely this rag is funded by the Obama campaign as well.
Secondly, according to sources they are bona-fide Democrat political operatives that are known for planting such slanderous stories about opposition candidate going back for a while now.
The source called them “assassins”.
The fact that the story wasn’t designed to do anything but get the story into Google search engines tells you much of the type of characters these two are - bottom feeders and just what kind of people support Barack Obama.
UPDATE: To note how bad this lie is, the Daily Kos which linked to it earlier deleted the link.
They made national news with picketing by civil rights advocates and the owner of Curious George licesning demanded that he cease an desist.....
Calling Obama “Sambo” would be over the line but Hillary “bitch”, don't see the problem. Her Thighness has been called worse.......
Of course, this is all a waste of time since the original story is false.....well, at least regarding Obama.....
I'm pretty sure it was Sarah Palin... that's what they're saying on DU anyways...

During a “lull” period in the campaign the hurricane machine was updated with new dual-core uprocs and is capable of multi-tasking.
