So the Obamas can have all of their children on stage, but the Palins cannot?

Was Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin simply including her 5-month-old son, who has Down syndrome, in a big family moment, or was she exploiting him in a tight presidential campaign?

This is a perfect example of why people are really starting to disrespect liberal reporters and stop buying newspapers.

Why should anyone want read such deceptive, condescending, tripe?

Down syndrome people are the kindest and most accepting, plus working people I’ve ever met. They accept each and everyone of us as we are. They find no fault in us. They are happy workers within their scrope. As a Down syndrome child is exposed to more educations and situations they grow. There was a fellow in a tv program and learned he could do a whole lot more than anyone expected of him and he didn’t fault any of them who thought he was below their thought level.

My response to Dear Cousin June:

So, another Obama supporter weighs in trying to raise doubt with half baked “possible” and “might be”

Along with the usual Palin bashing

Was Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin simply including her 5-month-old son, who has Down syndrome, in a big family moment, or was she exploiting him in a tight presidential campaign? Would he help break down social barriers facing children with Down syndrome, or would those children now be drawn into the right-to-life debate?

I can tell where you are coming from, but you try to hide it well by posing it as a question rater than plainly stating your bias.

Nice touch

Next this little nugget trying to tie the new administration with the current one, staright from you masters at the DNC playbook:

Among bloggers’ top concerns is a Bush administration measure that would trim Medicaid funding for community services for people with disabilities. Democrats have so far stalled the cuts, which advocates for the disabled said would force the disabled back into institutions.

Yeah, your boy Obambi was too busy allowing the killing of babies like this to get too exited about legislation helping them, but you threw the rock anyway and try to tie Palin with the current administration

Blogs also were filled with questions about Gov. Palin’s record on services to the disabled during her two years in state office. This spring, Alaska agreed to almost triple its spending on special-needs children, to $73,840 each beginning in 2011.

Buried near the end of the story in a sandwich of questions, nice work. Did Obamas folks help craft this or are you just naturally snakey?

But Gov. Palin didn’t help draft the legislation.

Goes to show how piss poor a public education is these days, the Governor does not draft legislation, their congress does. Maybe you are looking forward to your hope of Good King Barky leading the charge, but wait!

In an Obama administration babies like this would be killed at will by their mothers as an inconvenience.

How sweet, hope you sleep well at night

originalbuckeye, tonight I learned that, that was NOT spit, it was “Piper Gel”. Someone is going to come up with a gel named after that little girl.

Except that when one of the Kennedys seems to be out of ol Joe’s control, they just have a lobotomy perfomed and then claim they started the Special Olympics in her honor.....

The writer must be a dried up, wretched, out of touch person to ask such a stupid question. I thought the WSJ was better than that! Anyone who has a family takes the family to important events, especially a vulnerable child. The writer should be fired for incompetence, wasting everyone's time with such obviously loaded and clearly biased questions.

Isn’t this obvious? She is a family person. Her son is a special needs child. Why should that keep him off the stage where the rest of his family is celebrating a big day? If he were not a special needs child would any one have even noticed he was there? No matter...the attention needed toward special needs children has been heightened...and that is a good thing.

I’m glad she didn’t send him off to stay with someone else...like a throw away child...while the rest of the family had a wonderful moment together. He is part of the family and she had every right to have him there with her.

She also included her pregnant daughter with her boyfriend, traditional negatives, so does that mean she was “using them, too”...what a dufus...I expect more from the WSJ.

If it is even true it will change and I have pity on the women who had abortions because their child was Downs and now see this beautiful and perfect being.

The answer is easy,
A)She loves her son
B) Exposing a Down syndrome baby to wide and varied stimulus helps the baby learn.

Apparently anyone that halfway knows Palin would know the answer to that. Some people are just idiots.

Don’t be so sure. These Eugenics folks might just try to require they be killed for the greater over all good

He also raised new questions among parents whose children have disabilities. Was Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin simply including her 5-month-old son, who has Down syndrome, in a big family moment, or was she exploiting him in a tight presidential campaign?

And yet PBS did a positive documentary on the deaf lesbian couple who conspired to give birth to a daughter who was deaf by birth defect. I think the first child the woman bore was a boy and they did the experiment again.

The Left is vile/evil.
