I agree with you, it was just a gaffe...after all, he didn't have a teleprompter to tell him what to say. How can people expect him to speak intelligently without a teleprompter?

In the eyes of Islam, as son of a Muslim man, he was born a Muslim. His Muslim stepfather registered him as a Muslim in school in Indonesia and he spent time studying the Koran. Now he claims to have embraced the Christian faith, albeit a Marxist variant (Black Liberation Theology) so maybe he is an Apostate and has rejected Islam.
But then in a recent interview with People Magazine, his wife revealed that they do not give birthday presents or Christmas Gifts to their children. I thought that odd, I don't know any Christian families that don't give gifts, but I did discover that it is common practice for Muslims not to do so.
So you be the judge, it appears he embraces some Muslim culture. Denying your children Birthday or Christmas presents when you are earning millions seems a pretty significant act to me.

To use the possessive my is to own what you are referring to, most people would not say,”my Muslim faith”, in the context of denying their being a Muslim. Also it is known that Obama has lied about his past and very little research is needed to conclude that, regardless of what the Reverend Wright may say, the Trinity United church is NOT a christian church by any stretch.
