Psychologists Want to Purge Your Brain of Un-Green Thoughts
Pajamas Media ^ | September 9, 2008 | Elizabeth Scalia

Forty years after enlightened baby boomers and academics decried conformity and told the world to ignore “the establishment,” to not kowtow to “the man,” to “rap about problems to find solutions,” and to “not guilt-trip or judge other people’s life choices,” those same sorts — the now firmly ensconced “establishment” pretending otherwise — are wondering why they can’t get people to fall in line and do as they’re told to do and think as they’re told to think with respect to the environment and the “crisis” of “climate change,” the “crisis” which used to be called “global warming” until the news got out that the earth has been cooling for the last ten years and the arctic ice is refusing to melt...

the 148,000-member American Psychological Association is stepping up efforts to foster a broader sense of eco-sensitivity

Sounds like the entire membership has been brainwashed.

Green Thoughts - The Smithereens

These green thoughts
Wondering where you’ve been
Maybe with my best friend
Dear God please stop me thinking these green thoughts

These green thoughts
Burning across my mind
Wondering what I’ll find
Oh God please stop me thinking these green thoughts

Green thoughts come around
Every now and then
When they bring you down
Run away while you still can

These green thoughts
Thinking about you now
And I am wondering how
I get myself involved in these green thoughts

Green thoughts come around
Every now and then
When they bring you down
Run away while you still can

These green thoughts
Wondering what I’ll learn
Baby when I return
Can’t stop myself from thinking these green thoughts
Thinking these green thoughts
Thinking these green thoughts

If we think green all the time it will cause massive congestion, jams and accident at all the traffic lights.

Time for a George Carlin reality check (Saving the Planet):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eScDfYzMEEw

Near the end of this classic George suggests that nature intended that mankind evolve for the sole purpose of leaving plastic behind as a new part of nature, something that the earth could not do on its own!

It’s working really well. I no longer patronize any businesses or manufacturers who have even the slightest whiff of “green” lunacy in their advertisements. I know it’s no big thing to them but it does make me feel a heck of a lot better.

I do the same. I call it being "responsibly anti-green."

I’ve always believed that a lot of others were probably doing this too. “Organized boycotts” are usually temporary and conducted primarily for the “media” and a piece on the nightly news. These quiet, individual boycotts are the ones that really hurt.

God! I miss George Carlin! I may not always have agreed with him, but his insight into flagrant stupidity was a true gift.
