Obama not concerned with polls or Palin-o-mania

With 55 days to go and the latest polls showing the presidential showdown deadlocked in a tie, sounds of worry is emanating from the left about the impact of McCain runningmate Sarah Palin.

But if Democratic nominee Barack Obama is worried, he’s got a great poker face. Speaking at a press briefing this afternoon in Ohio, Obama addressed the Washington Post/ABC poll which showed white women jumping over to the McCain-Palin ticket in droves.

Polls, schmolls

“These are the same polls that had me 20 down last summer that have swung wildly thought this process,” he said. “I think that what we’re going to have to do is see how things settle out over the next few weeks when people start examining who is actually going to deliver on the issues that people care about.”

Obama specifically mentioned education, health care, insurance, and the economy as the issues he thinks “are going to make the biggest difference in this race.”

Palin-palooza

On Palin, Obama acknowledged that the Alaska Governor has generated a lot of hoopla but said she was firing up the far right rather than women as a whole.

“She’s been on the minds of all of you, and as a consequence has been before the American people constantly throughout the week, and has brought excitement to the Republican party, there is no doubt about that,” he said.

“I think that has less to do with gender than it has to do with her ideological predispositions, which are closely aligned to theirs,” Obama added.

So all these attacks on the Palin children by Camp Obama are just for fun and entertainment while they are waiting for Obama’s coronation?

For a metrosexual dandy, he's not displaying visible panic. It takes messianic strength to keep that calm visage from cracking in the face of bad news!

Right they are desperate beyond belief—those that are confident don’t resort to cheap shots.

Obama’s wife is the one that decided that Hillary wouldn’t be on the ticket. They hate each other. Obama wouldn’t be running the White House, his wife would. That’s another reason he can’t be President.

With dead people voting for you,how can one lose? Seriously, I think the Palin pick, the GOP convention and message of America first along with the fact that Obama Nation is number one on the best seller list have all contributed to the poll surge.

This is the next sign of impending defeat. The polls mean nothing but they are going to scale back the campaign to a dozen or so battleground states. Rumors of minor discord among the staff will be heard soon and possibly some of these will be terminated in states where the campaign had once planned to make an effort but now have written off. There are small murmers of campaign contributions not quite meeting expectations too.

If anyone criticizes Obama a little too much it is called racist

But no one has any qualms about smearing a woman and telling the most egregious lies about her.

Obama did it to Hillary and now they are doing it to Sarah 10 times worse.

When are women in the media finally going to say "ENOUGH"?

0bama fell for the trap.

He’s comparing himself, the PRESIDENTIAL candidate, to the VICE presidential candidate of the opposition.

In truth, that IS who he’s running against, but he looks smaller when he avoids comparison to the top of the other ticket.

if he is not worried about his poll results at this stage, then he is NOT fit to be planning his way out of the bottom end of a (flag-filled) trash bag.

And this guy is the one who thinks he can plan ahead as commander in chief?
