If the third-worlders are starting to come HERE for sex with minors, rather than the other way around, we’ve got ourselves a problem.

Everyone wants to live the American dream.

But I don't think its too much to ask of our government to take just a little closer look at who gets the privilege.

A married father of two who has only been in the US for six months...

I seriously hope that they are not trying to make me feel sorry for the guy.

My recommendation: Establish "extradition-type" agreements with foreign governments for these cases. We deport him to Iraq to serve his sentence and pay local rates for his prison stay.

Many poor countries would gladly take their criminals back if they came with a check. Why should we pay 5-10 times as much to keep them in prison here?

I wonder if allah’s going to be pissed at this guy for trying to get one of his virgins before the explosion?

Ha-haaah!

It’s really a shame there’s no such thing as a intercontinental-range trebuchet.

"s arrested for trying to arrange a sexual encounter with what he thought was a 15 year old girl."

nothing unusual about this - in his culture

“Evans says Al-Mahdy had been chatting on-line with an officer since late May, and that he had tried to arrange an encounter on several occasions, but that he had backed out.”

I wonder if there is an entrapment defense there at all. They've been chatting for a long time and this guy has backed out of meetings before. You know the officer is sending out all sorts of alluring pictures and coming onto this guy hard. No one should ever agree to have sex with a minor, but 15 is old enough to be legal in most countries in the world. Of course Mohamed married a six year old and consummated that marriage when his child bride was nine, so 15 is like an old lady over there.

A married father of two who has only been in the US for six months
could be deported to Iraq after being arrested as part
of an internet sex sting.

IMHO, the only good angle on this story is that, of all countries,
Sweden has admitted even more of the "cut-and-run" Iraqis that
the USA. (at least that was my understanding as recently as
a few months ago)

Could be deported? He should be deported. This country needs to raise the standards for being admitted to this country.

BTW, Obama and McCain voted against the Cronyn amendment which would have barred terrorists and violent gang members from entering this country. Ditto for Hillary.
