This is sure to be circulating around the leftist netscape soon,if not already. It seems to me she must have misspoke, meaning perhaps no one running for President when she says "No one knows what war is like other than my family. Period."
But it doesnt sound too good.
More fodder for the bitter left.

I’ve met her. She is nice, but a little naive and prone to gaffes. It is clear what she meant to say, but it just comes off so wrong.

she probably did mean “more” rather than “other”, but she is the daughter of a candidate........hardly news at all......

Big deal. She obviously meant more than anyone running for Prez. It isn’t like she admitted to being a Muslim.

Most will see this and understand the mistake except for the ultra patriotic left.

I’m sure she meant her family compared to the “The One”.

Yeah, she's a novice who didn't say what she meant. But will we get a comically hysterical Andrew Sullivan blog entry on it? Taking it at face value and primal-screaming about how this is the face of modern Christo-facist Republican Party of today? That's the real question.
To: normy
It will just make the left look like their grasping at more straws..

She comes across as snotty to me, but I don’t think it’s going to be a major scandal.

This is what happens when you stick a microphone in an untrained face. I'm sure the press would love to interview Palin's 17 year old or the father of the baby to get some sound bite they could put on you tube. Almost anything can be edited for your purpose. That has been Bush's problem for 8 years. I pretty much am one of the 28% that still loves and appreciates him.
I'm not happy with everything he's done, but I just look back at the Clinton/ Carter administrations and thank God for him. But when someone puts a mic in his mug, I have to turn the channel. He won't defend himself because his defense would probably be worse than the first problem.
I know just from being here on FR that I am misunderstood and misquoted every day. If you just knew me you would like me. ;<)
