This clip on YouTube from the Today Show shows Meghan McCain in a brief soundbite, saying to the effect that "no one understands war OTHER THAN my family, period".
Please view the clip. The Obama Internet War Room is already jumping on it. This might be the next gaffe attack by the Left.
And just how did she “diss” the troops?
I didn’t get that from the interveiw.
Are you sure she didn’t say “better than my family”?
“No one knows what war is like, other than my family, period”.
Those were her exact words.
Based on the soundbite, and what the O-bots are saying, her words could be used in the sense that only her family understands, and no one else does.
She has cleared it up on her blog:

I am sure the “gaffe machine” will be all over it, just as they will be ignoring “lipstick on a pig” and encouraging wheelchair-bound men to stand up.
Her dad said the same thing, except, “better than my family” in his acceptance speech last week, that’s why I asked.
She flubbed, plain and simple. It was a set line and she botched it.
Well if accidently using the word “other” when she obviously meant “better” must be taken at face value then I guess “My muslim faith” must be accepted at face value. The left is getting very desperate. McCain should have someone start his bus for him, these lefties are coming unhinged.
You didnt find it because nobody inferred it to mean what you say it means, dissing the troops.

Okay so I won’t vote for Meghan!
Much ado over nothing.
Maybe what she said or meant to say was “Nobody understand war BETTER than my family”, alluding to John McCain’s fighting in Vietnam and suffering as a POW.
This does NOT in any way imply that she doesn’t have respect for the troops and their families.
At least she didnt call michelle a pig with lipstick
