Good. The gap among “likely” voters should be even larger.

Rasmussen has Obama up by 1.

Seems to be some disagreement in the polls lately...beyond the margin of error. That means someone’s methodology is bad.

...maximum margin of sampling error is ±2...

Being an old man and only had to suffer one semester of statistics back in th early 80's, just what does this mean?

Thanks.

It is said that Rasmussen doesn’t count the turn-out of the GOP, women and independents after the Convention. It tends to favor Democrats as if Sarah Palin had brought no reaction at all. I think it is a mistake, Gallup’s right and other numbers show that the reactions of voters is huge for McPalin (Independents + 12%, PUMAS 25%, Women +22%)

that’s a little early to predict anything or even to begin the Sioux scalp dance, but it looks good.

Gallup: “Along with their running mates, Obama and McCain will continue to campaign unabated during this time period and will be spending tens of millions of dollars a week on advertising and voter contact. However, the experience of the past summer suggests that voter support levels do not tend to change dramatically during periods of time in which there are no major campaign events.
Additionally, it may take a few additional days before it is possible to determine if McCain’s modest lead over Obama — developed as a bounce out of the GOP convention — will be sustained, or if it will fade.”
