Dear Friend:
Working with the Republican Party of Virginia, the Jim Gilmore for U.S. Senate Campaign launched its first television spot this week, the beginning of an effort to remind Virginians that Mark Warner is campaigning with Barack Obama -- and against John McCain and Sarah Palin.
This first television spot -- called "Principled" -- is linked below for your viewing. It makes very clear that Mark Warner, who gave the keynote address at the Democrat Convention in Denver that nominated Obama, is a leader in Barack Obamas campaign efforts to raise taxes, increase government spending and limit domestic oil production.
This is in stark contrast to my campaign which is working for the election of John McCain. As a veteran, I share John McCain and Sarah Palin's goals of keeping America safe, keeping taxes low and bringing down gas prices with offshore drilling for more domestic production of oil.
Will you help keep this ad running in Virginia, which is a key battleground state in this election? Airing the spot in the local news can cost between $100 and $2,000 depending on the television market. You can help by making a contribution to my campaign for $25, $50 or $100 today!
This spot will continue to close the gap in the U.S. Senate race in Virginia. But if it is going to successfully achieve its mission, we must increase the number of times the spot is played statewide.
Please take a moment to help keep this ad running in the key battleground state of Virginia with a donation of $25, $50, $100 or more. Will you contribute to make sure this television commercial gets additional air time throughout Virginia?
With a contribution you can make sure this spot airs in Good Morning America, Fox's Hannity & Colmes, The Today Show, the CBS Evening News and more.
Since the nomination of John McCain and Sarah Palin, there is new excitement in the election as the national numbers continue to move our way. Voters in the U.S. Senate race are moving our way as well and your contribution now will ensure that we continue on the road to victory.
Sincerely,
Jim Gilmore
