He was trying to provoke his audience by comparing Palin to a pig and worse an old fish. He succeeded in it, but completely misjudged how this would spread virally over the political landscape.

The McCain campaign needs to let it go though and let the fire rage at the grassroots.

They did. No mention of it by either McCain or Palin today. Actually, I have not heard either of them mention it at all. The ran an ad this morning and sent out a press release condemning it but. McCain and Palin were talking about the economy, energy, national defense while Obama was dealing with his own mess.

I am surprised that everyone had left off at the lipstick comment and ignored Obomber’s next breath about wrapping OLD fish in newspaper and how it still stinks.

He clearly was being provocative, but his mind-numb robots will argue otherwise.

My daughter found this appropriate movie clip from the 1940 movie “The Ghost Breakers”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkzV5AIK8iM

0be is just showing that he will not be bringing a “new tone” anywhere and has been already coopted by the old Chicago Politics of stasis.
