Yes, it has long struck me that though he’s talked a lot about his father issues (and if by chance he has had bi tendencies from his mentor Davis on, he may have focused more on that), it is, as Spengler wrote early in the campaign, women he’s clearly got issues with. From Hillary to ‘Sweetie’ and now to Sarah Palin.

So basically Obama is jealous, has an Inferiority Complex, and Venus Envy? He sees Sarah Palin as the mother he WISH he had.... ;)

Well, at the very least, she sure is giving him a spanking.

When men have daughters who reach their teens, they often become much more sensitive to dealing with women at work. And I think the younger generation of men are more used to an equal world. Finally, would the men in their 40’s and 50’s where you work be more often in potential competition with you? If they are, you probably shouldn’t be surprised if they play up any female stereotypes that would give them advantage.

You dont judge somebody by what their mother does. we have free will.

Huh?

You're confusing two points:

1) Obama has free will to choose to NOT become a nihilist.

2) People like Savage & me are free to wonder if the underlying cause of the nihilism which forms the void at the center of Obama's soul is due to his having been abandoned by his mother.

There isn't any question of "judging" here - we're making "armchair psychiatrist" guesses, and I'd say that the abandonment by his mother is as good an explanation as any.

“This is not to say that I don’t have some sympathy for a person who was raised up by a mixed up mother only to be abandoned to his grandparents. I just don’t want to get mixed up in that persons world”
*********************************
Exactly. This man shows so many inappropriate behaviors toward women that I have lost count. Either he just doesn’t understand that we will be offended or doesn’t care. I vote the latter.

His grandfather subjected him to Frank Davis as early as age 9. No one in their right mind would subject a child to such an awful man at any age...but 9? I would feel sorry for him in any other circumstance...as a co-worker, friend of a friend, etc. But as a potential POTUS, it is too horrible to even think about. I want people who were raised by a mother and father(even if divorced) who loved them, to hold that office.

CC, I’m in my early fifties, so I fit in that group of men.

I’m also a veteran of the corporate wars. And I’m white.

In the 1980s and 1990s men of my vintage bore the brunt of all previous generations’ sins—against blacks, against women, against Hispanics, against gays.

We had to be sensitive, and it was too bad that we got passed over for the EOP candidates, Affirmative Action hires, and the quota makers.

I know what it means when women say they have to work harder to get ahead then men. I earned every promotion by working my butt off.

On top of that, we had to be the pioneers in”diversity training” where every value we grew up with had to be challenged, vilified, and reconstructed according to the whims of whacked out lefties.

I left the corporate wars because I was spending more time in the “program of the month” than getting any work done.

I offer that as a possible reason why men of the age range you mention might have problems.

But maybe that was just my experience.

The cure for me was to join a small company where my efforts directly contributed to the bottom line, there were no programs of the month because no one had the time or money for that BS, and there was no corporate bureaucracy of composed of layers of brain dead drones.

I don’t give much stock to psychological mumbo-jumbo, but I know what I see and hear.

I know I saw Obama give Hillary the finger, in public, in a speech.

I know I heard Obama say the Hillary “periodically” gets depressed and hostile.

I know I heard Obama say that Hillary had thrown every dish in the buffet at him.

I know I heard Obama call Sarah Palin a pig.

I know I have seen and heard Obama’s surrogates repeat insults to numerous and too disgusting to list about Sarah Palin.

From these things I has seen and heard, I know that Obama has a problem with women. Why he has this problem, I could not care less. The fact that the problem exists is enough for me to know that we would be better off with somebody else as President.

“But what exactly is Obama’s problem with women? “

This question needs to be answered by a woman, not some man pretending to speak for women.

Women know much better what bothers women than a man.

Now ask me about crosscutting a board and I can speak with authority. Ask me what bothers women and I’m tied in knots.

Ladies, you’re on stage...

I may be the oddball on FR, but I don’t think B.O. intended the comment to be against Palin. I am enjoying this immensely, though. There are millions of women who were grossly insulted by this comment. Just ask any husband how easy it’s going to be easy to “unhurt” their feelings.

Seemed to ME that his problem was that he was still trying to win the affection and notice of his father, BHO Senior. He was ADOPTED by Lolo Soetoro and given his name and his nationality and how does he repay him? He writes about his birth father and not about his adopted father or his 'white' grandparents. Sumpin' wrong here in this child's emotions. His allegiance was to a "sperm donor" and not to either male who was actively in his life.

I think he set his father up on this pedestal and then when he learned the truth about him, he wasn't able to recover from it. Took it as if it were personal to him. "How could you Dad? I looked up to you Dad. I worshiped you Dad. How could you do this to ME Dad?" So he sets himself up to be a President of a Country. Choose one. The USofA is gullible. I can't be President in Indonesia or Pakistan, so I'll be President of the USofA. And I'll win my Dad's approval by holding a higher office than he ever held.

But I do agree that he has some kind of emotional problem with women. Some kind of an Attachment disorder. He didn't attach himself to his Mom's "color" but he did attach to her culture. He didn't attach to his Dad's culture, but he did to his color.

You can't blame Bush on this one, blame Obama's parents for screwing him up.

I didn't even know about Frank Davis and had to look it up. This is yet another reason not to have him as POTUS.

Obama is messed up.

Frank Davis was bisexual and wrote porno under a pen name
Gramps smoked pot with Frank from time to time

I thought they liked the idea of Obama having a black mentor. Obama was growing up in Hawaii without knowing any black people

My father had this syndrome, I believe. He was born illegitimately in Nazi Germany. The father abandoned them and came to the states. The mother had to do what she had to do to get by. Eventually, came to the states and married a man my father despised. He never recovered.

That may in fact be true. However, even if it was meant in jest, it's open to public scrutiny, and as the aftermath shows, the Obama team, and Obama himself, appears less than stellar in the game of politics.
