To distract voters from their disaffection with Republican policies, the McCain campaign has focussed shamelessly and brilliantly on personality and pedigree. You want a "community organizer" (boo!) or the descendant of a long line of warriors? Now even John McCain's children—like those of his running mate—have been summoned to the cause: daughter Meghan told the Today Show yesterday that only her family could understand war; and wife Cindy trumpeted the family's military tradition in a primetime convention speech last week. "Our son, Jack, will graduate from the United States Naval Academy next year—fourth generation—ready to do his service." But these polished family narratives also draw uncomfortable attention, as the Palins are discovering—and the McCains may also. For that Scots-Irish warrior spirit, somewhat mellowed in the old man, may run a little too undiluted in Jack McCain and his friends. Someone going by the name of the candidate's son called for the killing of "towel heads" on a friend's blog much as John McCain once railed against the gooks in Vietnam, as we'll show below.

To say nothing of Vietnam, where we called them “Gooks” and “VCs”!

It could have actually been the author of this article. The left is not adverse to making things up, as we have seen in recent years. He could have posted in the blog, as an excuse to remember McCain’s “gook” comment. Need to have an excuse to bring that up....forget the fact that McCain led the effor to normalise relations with Vietnam, and forgave them, and focus on understandable early resentment.
I am so glad they are searching in the past, and in the present! Yippeeee, let’s give equal time to Obmama’s past and present!
Why isn’t grandma in the news? I wonder if they had a falling out, and that is why she didn’t even come to his big night at the DNC? Obama wasn’t at his mother’s side when she died, is grandma disappointed with her grandson over that?
How about that possible Indonesian citizenship? Does he hold an Indonesian passport? If not, can we see the stamps on his passport? Not his government passport, but his civilian passport. Is Pakistan there? India? Who did he visit in Karachi and in India? Where are those folks now?
Many, many questions about his own drug use..he is still a smoker-—he is addicted, does he still take drugs as well? His father was an addict, to alcohol, which increases his chances of being one as well. Did he ever go through rehab?
Besides, the correct phrase is "rag heads", not "towel heads".
Such petty differences in the use of language clearly identify FALSE BS.
I would imagine the writer of the piece has NEVER been around real cops just shooting the breeze ~ just around real cops at a bust where they're watching their language as they wire you up to haul you to the lockup.
