I don't go for the gushing. I keep things in perspective and know McCain is not with us on all the issues. He's still preferable to the other guy for a host of reasons. The principal one being is we don't want to go back to the 1960s.

So now Obama says he may not immediately let those high-income tax cuts expire, owing to the troubled economy and all.
maybe because there’s no point in antagonizing the rich elitists from the coasts who hate Palin. They are the only base left and he needs to keep them.

This requires a semi-barf alert.
Whole article is full of barbs at the republicans.

Conservatives have loathed what the Republican Party became and they abandoned it in 2006. Perhaps they will give it another chance this year.

yes this is clearly a liberal POV. He’s teed off that the democrats have turned into a pile of mush while the conservatives are energized.

Liberals can only throw smears. Let 'em. Our side owns the issues. Game, set and match!

My main reason for voting for McCain is, I don’t want a repeat of seven years ago to day!

Thats a very old story about Cindy when she was addicted to pain killers. Its true but its about 13 yrs ago. If they can’t beat up Palin I guess they have to move to Mrs. Mccain.

I wont be comfortable until a poll comes out of Colorado with McCain leading.

If we can't put in a more conservative congress with McCain it doesn't matter what he stands for or who he partners with. If he gets Amnesty then it is Democrats as far as the eye can see, at least until the La Raza Party wins an election.

Well, I’m cautiously optimistic about the election, but not ready yet to lump Obama in with Mondale, Dukakis, Mcgovern, etc. Let’s see the situation on the morning of November 5th. I have a feeling this will be a close election, and don’t want to under estimate Obama.

I agree, but it is nice to know they have begun preparing for their defeat.

I went to that link, and even many of the DUmmies are admitting it is bogus, and the whole thing is old news in any event.

Then McCain chose as his running mate a tough-talking Assembly of God woman from Alaska who shoots guns and asserts, albeit dishonestly, that she has opposed wasteful pork-barrel spending in her state. Got any proof that she was dishonest?....Didn't think so..

so much for focusing on the issues.
and when they do try to talk about the issues, they try to sneak around and equivocate instead of giving a straight answer. They know that if they come straight out and say they’re for raising taxes and taking guns away, they’ll lose.

For their part, Republicans suddenly are all fired up again about those supposedly outsider and right-wing reforms they incessantly talk about but never actually get done, such as fiscal responsibility and an end to abortion and the deployment of military that makes quick work of any and all adversaries.Boy he got that right. It's going to be pretty disappointing if this is all smoke and mirrors from the Republicans....again.
