The rain in Spain falls mainly on the Arctic plain...
I hope John McCain doesn't throw his slippers at Sarah Palin's head or get as acerbic as Henry Higgins did with Eliza Doolittle when she did not learn quickly enough. McCain's Pygmalion has to be careful, because his Galatea might be armed with more than a sharp tongue.
For the first time in American history, we have a "My Fair Lady" moment, as teams of experts bustle around the most famous woman in politics, intensely coaching her for her big moment at the ball -- her first unscripted interview this week here with ABC's Charlie Gibson.
Eliza, by George, got it and brought off the coup of passing herself off as a Hungarian princess rather than a Covent Garden flower seller. Sarah's challenge is far tougher, and that's why she's pulling the political equivalent of an all-nighter. She doesn't have to pass herself off as a different class or change her voice or be more highfalutin. The McCain campaign is reveling in its anti-intellectual tenor.
Sarah, who is now so renowned that she is known merely by one name and has a name ID of 90 percent, has to be a Kmart mom who appeals to Kmart moms and dads. She's already shown that she can shoot the pig, bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan. Now all she has to do is prove that she can be the leader of the free world on a moment's notice, and field dress Putin as adeptly as she can a moose.

It was only this week that Barry finally sat down with a purported conservative (BoR) to “face challenging questions”.
And guess which team is running the debates?

Does she want a federal ban on trans fat in restaurants as well on abortion and Harry Potter? WTF? Where did the "trans fat" thing come from?

In NYC it is believed in some circles that the citywide ban on using transfats in restaurants was the work of concerned white urban mommies.

Speaking of Todd...
Can I say something, I haven't seen discussed? Isn't Todd the perfect male role model as well. Think about it. Would we all be shouting “Sarah Sarah” if Todd Palin was some sort of schmuck? What if he had the couch potatoe beer gut thing going? Or what if he was some sort of pompous ass when he opened his mouth?
Todd Palin is a regular guy. Manly and yet supportive and devoted to his wife and family.
and might I add...one lucky dude!

Notice how Barack Obama clings to his Tele-Prompter speeches and to debates moderated by his "Do you want a pillow" media synchophants questioners like a nursing baby clings to its mother and has refused to debate McCain in unscripted Townhall formats.

It's this kind of elitism that's going to bring these people down. There hasn't been a politician since Reagan that needed less coaching than Sarah Palin. And that's because like Reagan, Sarah Palin isn't play a part for the camera, she is really "being herself'. Elite media Liberals don't know what that means because they won't even be themselves to themselves. For them, all of life is an attempt to seem like you are something other than what you really are.
They will never see someone like Sarah Palin coming.

Again, my tagline always is apropos. The entire left projects onto the Republicans exactly the problem they have with the top of their ticket.

Obama, Senator of no accomplishment, reportedly has 300 coaches so he can regurgitate what he’s been taught. But he’s still a guy of no accomplishments that prove he can do the job.
Sarah doesn’t have this problem.

“her first unscripted interview this week here with ABC’s Charlie Gibson.”
This will probably go well, but news sources keep saying this will be a two day interview. I don’t know why the McCain campaign would have agreed to that. This sets up the old 60 Minutes tactic of conducting hours of interview, then editing out a few minutes here and there, often taking things out of context to distort what the interviewee actually said.
Should have given a few 30 - 60 minute interviews over several days and let the media howl all they chose to howl. They aren’t held in such high regard by more than half the population these days.

People actually get paid to write this?? I should have been a journalist. Evidently all you need is access to Fox Movie Classics and a thesaurus...

FIRST ‘unscripted’ interview? Dowd you absolute retard. She has had numerous interviews in her career, just not yet as McCain's VP candidate. Simpleton.
