“We will respond with speed and ferocity to John McCain’s attacks and we will take the fight to him, but we will do it on the big issues that matter to the American people.”

Apparently disco balls are a big issue to Americans.

“The newest ad showcasing their hard line includes unflattering footage of McCain at a hearing in the early ‘80s, wearing giant glasses and an out-of-style suit, interspersed with shots of a disco ball, a clunky phone, an outdated computer and a Rubik’s Cube.

Last I checked, all it takes is a pen to VETO spending bills or to write “Bomb Iran Now”

Actually ... Rubik's cubes are really hot right now ... shows that Obama's team is out of touch. MIT has a cube club, and my daughter helped start one at her high school. There are now 4X4's, 5X5's, 6X6's, 7X7's, custom stickers and all kinds of new stuff. Disneyland even sells some with Disney characters.

Exactly. Also it seems McCain has already stolen some of the fire on this issue by poking fun at his age on SNL. I hope this backfires on Obama. It's hard to guess if it will, however. McCain had some "silly" ads comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney which were somewhat effective.
